Overview

Responsible for assisting in the management of the day-to-day operation of the Atlantic Technical Operations Center and its interactions with the client, gaming sites, and manufacturers to ensure continuous system up-time and the highest level of operational efficiency. Manages the planning, hardware installation and configuration, optimization, operations, and ongoing maintenance of the computer/data center. Oversees systems performance, the monitoring of equipment and the management of vendor relationships. Responsible for capacity planning and continual assessments for process improvement to ensure that processes are well-documented, sustainable and scalable. Monitors ongoing practices to ensure consistency with policies, compliance regulations and control requirements. Selects, develops, and evaluates personnel to ensure the efficient operation of the function.

Job Responsibilities

  • Ensures smooth, uninterrupted control room operations by troubleshooting issues through Team Leads and Computer Operators. Resolves operational disruptions including equipment failures, internet or power outages, facility problems, and staffing shortages.
  • Supports in the supervising of Computer Operators’ scheduling, attendance, clock-ins, and break by coordinating Computer Operator shifts, assigns tasks, and evaluates performance. Delegate responsibilities and rearrange resources and staff as business demands require.
  • Ensure that all requirements of all audits are maintained and followed
  • Subject matter expert for everything relevant to the operations
  • Engages in daily client interactions to ensure clear communication, address concerns promptly, and support a high standard of service delivery.
  • Monitors quality assurance and security of data
  • Provides management with strategic recommendations on system requirements and all internal and external factors impacting control room operations.
  • Supports all regular operations center staff needs
  • Assumes all responsibilities of Computer Operator during high peak periods or in instances of short staffing
  • Inventory management and ordering of supplies and equipment
  • Assists with ad-hoc initiatives as needed and performs additional duties and responsibilities as assigned.

Qualifications

Education & Experience:

  • Associate degree in a technical field (or equivalent) or 1–2 years of relevant experience in IT operations or a similar environment.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in the gaming industry or a related field preferred.
  • Proven leadership skills with a high level of professionalism, maturity, and integrity.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment with a strong sense of urgency.
  • Comfortable with technology and capable of learning and operating proprietary software systems.
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and take initiative.
  • Experience in managing employee schedules and workforce coordination.

Technical Proficiency

  • Strong understanding of video operations including systems, network management, development procedures, slot manufacturer features, procurement and administration. General video operations including security, back-up and internal control systems.
  • Basic command-line navigation and operations in Unix, Linux, AIX, VMS, and DOS environments.
  • Working knowledge of FTP/SFTP protocols for secure file transfers.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, MS Teams, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc…) and familiar with PC operating systems.
  • Hands on knowledge of CCS and related tools in support

Communication & Interpersonal Skills

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, including professional phone etiquette.
  • Customer service experience is a plus.

  • Excellent listening, organizational, and planning skills.
  • High attention to detail and accuracy.

Work Schedule & Environment

  • Flexible work schedule
  • Field work and travel as required for the support of a gaming venue
  • Available 24x7 for on call duties as required

Physical & Other Requirements

  • Ability to sit or remain in a stationary position for extended periods (up to 12 hours).
  • Frequent use of hands and fingers to operate computer systems, keyboards, computer mouse and monitoring tools.
  • Visual acuity to view multiple monitors and detect system alerts or anomalies.
  • Occasional bending, reaching, or lifting of items up to 25 pounds (e.g., equipment, reports).
  • Ability to work in a secure, climate-controlled operations center environment with low to moderate noise levels.
  • Must successfully complete a company-administered criminal background check and obtain a Gaming License for relevant jurisdiction, which includes passing a comprehensive background investigation comparable to FBI standards.

At IGT, we consider a wide range of factors in determining compensation, including background, skills, experience, and work location. These factors can cause your compensation to vary. The estimated starting compensation range is $40,887 - $115,000. The actual pay offered may end up being higher or lower. The Company will comply with all local pay requirements and collective bargaining agreements, where applicable.

Base pay is only one part of our Total Rewards program. Sales roles may be eligible for commission payments, while other roles are eligible for discretionary bonuses . In addition, we offer employees a 401(k) Savings Plan with Company contributions, health, dental, and vision insurance, life, accident, and disability insurance, tuition reimbursement, paid time off, wellness programs, and identity theft insurance. Note: programs are subject to eligibility requirements.

All IGT employees have a role in information security. Annual training will be assigned and required as appropriate.
