Job description

Note: This job requires a 97% travel commitment and a Class A CDL.

Reporting from Indianapolis, IN, the role involves supervising, planning, and organizing aerial construction efforts through in-house teams and contractors for new construction, maintenance, rebuild projects, and storm restoration. The supervisor is responsible for productivity, safety, and quality within the aerial construction department, as well as hiring, training, development, and performance management of the teams.

Major Duties and Responsibilities

1. Support efforts to improve customer experience.
2. Coordinate with engineers and developers on plant design, equipment installation, and BOM completion.
3. Monitor performance of in-house and contractor teams, ensuring compliance with agreements.
4. Conduct site inspections for quality control.
5. Track daily production and review reports.
6. Reconcile invoices with work performed.
7. Manage permitting and make-ready processes before construction.
8. Provide updates on construction progress to management.
9. Review and process damage claims, updating relevant parties.
10. Foster positive employee relations through effective communication and support.
11. Ensure adherence to relevant regulations and company policies.
12. Perform additional duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications

• Valid driver’s license with a clean record and CDL license.
• Minimum of 3 years' experience in OSP construction in telecom.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience supervising HFC/FTTH construction projects.
• Leadership or supervisory experience of 1+ years.

Working Conditions

• Combination of office and field work.
• Exposure to outdoor elements and various environments, including confined spaces and heights.
• Travel required with crews.
