Eli Lilly has a broad portfolio of in-market and near launch brands In United States. Brand and marketing teams rely on strong market research support to understand brand performance, identify new opportunities, create marketing plans, and recommend tactical adjustments, if necessary.
The LCCI Market Research Team Lead will lead a team of market researchers who support achievement of brands’ goals, while always striving for process improvement and innovation. This role is responsible for managing a consistent, timely market research process across US products. This includes finalizing questionnaires, developing recruiting lists, aggregating data, interpreting results, cross-referencing secondary sources, and communicating insights. With the recent advent of AI in market research, we are looking for folks with hands-on exposure to AI implementation use cases across various aspects of market research. Success requires close partnership with market researchers based in the US, as well as external agencies that manage panels and collect data on our behalf and also supporting initiatives that promote the use of AI and leverage efficiencies for additional delivery and learning/capability development across the team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Transformation & Innovation: 50%-time commitment
- Identify projects related to Innovation and Continuous Improvement
- Drive new capabilities within the team
- Leverage AI across studies and support Center of Excellence initiatives including and not limited to coding and running various AI/ML algorithms for either streamlining or improving speed across both Synthesis and Quantitative projects
- Work in close collaboration with internal commercial services functions (Analytics and Data Science) and external vendors to advance initiatives aiming to drive integrated insights, new capabilities, and operational excellence
- Champion FAM integration and lead projects which need
- “Hands on” Project Execution & Delivery: 30-40% time commitment
- Partner with Lilly market researchers based in the US for high quality execution and on time delivery of the market research projects covering the spectrum of activities including Synthesis (secondary) and Primary research, social listening, and data analytics.
- Serves as trusted advisor by actively participating in various phases of the project including kick-off, approach development, execution, insight generation and data visualizations
- For assigned projects may be required to:
- Communicate with stakeholders to present the final outputs and provide recommendations
- Manage the data collection process with external agency partners to ensure data integrity and on time delivery
- Provide appropriate context for study findings based on prior market research, including secondary sources.
- Attention to detail in every step of the market research process to ensure accurate, on time deliverables.
- Portfolio and People Management: 10-20%-time commitment
- Portfolio Management
- Ensures quality, speed, value, and compliance throughout the market research value chain.
- Ensures all research complies with company compliance policies.
- Establishes project management for seamless project execution, prioritization, and high-quality delivery from the team.
- Allocates projects to team members to operate a full capacity
- Supports creation and maintenance of standard operating procedures (SOPs), quality checklists that will enable excellent quality outputs for all outputs within the function
- Facilitates shared learning forums to identify challenges and establish best practices across the team
- Continues to expand the market research capability of the team by taking on more complex projects and delivering value
- Identifies improvement opportunities and implementation of analytics & research best practices
- People Management

- Provides consultative value and removes barriers so the team can focus on prioritized work and provide
Education Requirements: MBA/Post Graduation in quantitative discipline from a reputed institution, or equivalent education and experience
Experience related requirements
- 8-9 years of market research and/or analytics experience with demonstrated ability to think strategically in an ambiguous environment
- 2+ years of hands-on implementation of AI/ML usecases in Market Research across either Quantitative or Synthesis use cases
- 2+ years of experience in coaching and mentoring individuals
- Minimum 1.5 years tenure in current role
- Experience in pharma industry is required
- Technical Skills
- Strong quantitative, research, and analytical skills
- Good knowledge of AI/ML implementation in Market research across both Synthesis and Primary researches
- Knowledge of statistical packages (SPSS, WinCross or similar) and databases will be an added advantage
- Experience in methodologies such as segmentation, end-to-end concept testing
- Knowledge of databases such as APLD, IQVIA Rx datasets etc. is good to have
- Experience in data visualization tools such as Tableau/ Power BI
- Advanced MS-office skills (MS-Excel and MS-PowerPoint)

- Good presentation skills, interpersonal and communication skills
