Supervisor Laboratory at Providence St Vincent Medical Center in Portland, OR.
Full-Time/Evening Shift

The position of Technical Supervisor is one primarily focused on delivering service commitments defined for the location in which the department resides. The delivery of services must be performed in a highly cost effective manner while maintaining appropriate licensures and conditions as required by CLIA, OSHA, CAP, the Quality Plan and the Laboratory Compliance Program.

Required Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Medical Technology or a related science (Clinical, including Blood Bank, Microbiology, Automated Testing, etc.)
  • Coursework/Training: Documented leadership coursework
  • Upon hire: National Certification from the American Society for Clinical Pathology or
  • Upon hire: National Medical Technologist – American Medical Technologists or
  • Upon hire: National Medical Laboratory Technician – American Medical Technologists or
  • Upon hire: National Laboratory Technician – United States Government
  • Upon hire: In compliance with the Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC), a criminal background check and fingerprinting may be required based on assigned duties (PPMC Blood Bank Supervisor position only)
  • 5 years of progressive technical laboratory experience
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Associate’s degree in Pathology, including Histology and Cytology
  • Bachelor’s degree in Pathology, including Histology and Cytology
  • Supervisory experience
