Job summary

Henry Ford Health in Detroit is seeking a supervisor for the Non-Invasive Cardiology/Electrophysiology Clinic. The role oversees clinical operations, staff, and workflow to deliver cardiac testing and imaging services.

The candidate must hold RDCS certification with BCLS, and have at least three years in cardiology plus supervisory experience. This exempt, full-time position is based at Henry Ford Detroit Hospital.

Qualifications

Job Description

Schedule: 40+ hours per week, Exempt, Day Shift, weekend and holiday rotation

Department:Cardiac Non-Invasive

Location: Henry Ford Detroit Hospital

GENERAL SUMMARY:

• Responsible for supervising and coordinating all activities within assigned area (s) of Non-Invasive Cardiology/Electrophysiology Clinic.
• The scope may include multiple sites and/or modalities.
• Supervises assigned staff and activities to ensure efficient, effective, timely, operations and the delivery of cardiac testing, cardio-vascular imaging services and electrophysiology device clinic.
• Establishes priorities, assigns work, and monitors performance, quality, and workflow processes.

Qualifications

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

• High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent required.
• Bachelor's Degree in a health-related field preferred.
• Minimum of three (3) years of experience in Cardiology required in order to gain full knowledge of tests and procedures, and work of radiology personnel.
• Two (2) years of supervisory experience preferred.
• Must maintain the required hours of continued education.
• Interpersonal and communication, both verbal and written, skills necessary in order to effectively exchange information with physicians and other hospital personnel.
• Analytical skills necessary to prepare departmental reports and analyses, recommend policies and procedures, identify problems, work independently, develop systems appropriate for the Cardio-vascular department and effectively evaluate Cardio-vascular personnel.
• Working knowledge of Windows and Microsoft Office applications.

CERTIFICATIONS/LICENSURES REQUIRED:

• Current certification in a RDCS (Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer) area required. If responsible for multiple areas/modalities, must be certified in at least one area of responsibility.
• Must maintain Healthcare Provider certification (BCLS).
