Supervisor - Assistant 2nd Shift Shipping & Receiving (Finance)

Job Overview

Provides on-the-job leadership and supervises tasks of assigned employees in a department or area of the plant. Acts to support the immediate supervisor in managing the overall area.

Job Responsibilities

  1. Assigns employees to work stations and specific tasks as needed.
  2. Familiar with department equipment.
  3. Trains employees, monitors their work, and corrects improper performance.
  4. Assists the Supervisor in achieving safety, quality, and production goals.
  5. Supports setup, adjustments, and inspection of production equipment.
  6. Performs pre-operation and in-run checks as scheduled.
  7. Locates supplies, checks code dates, and performs tasks to optimize production.
  8. Diagnoses production issues across various areas and initiates corrective actions.
  9. Completes reports and maintains production records or enters data into systems.
  10. Maintains a clean and sanitary work area.
  11. Follows GMPs and ensures employees do the same.
  12. Performs other duties as assigned.

Experience & Skills

  1. Basic computer skills.
  2. Knowledge of SAP.
  3. Knowledge of KPI is a plus.
  4. At least 1 year of relevant experience with understanding of process flow, quality, safety, and organizational requirements.

Education

  • High school diploma or equivalent; an associate degree or trade certification is preferred.

Work Environment

  • Manufacturing environment with exposure to temperature variations; proper PPE required.
  • Standard office equipment available; environment includes plant manufacturing areas.
  • Physical demands include sitting, standing, bending, walking, manual dexterity, communication, and lifting up to 50 pounds. Close vision required for computer use.
