Job summary

Triangle Springs is seeking an Assessment Supervisor to join our behavioral health team in Raleigh. The role supports initial responses, assessments, referrals, and appropriate care designations with a focus on accurate documentation and coordination with physicians.

You will lead staff during the shift, ensure proper paperwork and insurance interactions, and emphasize patient-centered service while maintaining operational efficiency.

Qualifications

  • Associate's Degree in Nursing or Master's in Social Work/Counseling required.
  • Current unencumbered clinical, social work, or RN license.
  • CPR certification and CPI training within 30 days.

Responsibilities

  • Facilitates response to requests for services, including initial response, assessment and referral.
  • Delivers evaluation, documents symptoms and needs, provides information for LOC determination.
  • Displays excellent customer service to patients, visitors and staff.
  • Maintains pre-admission and admission paperwork with accuracy and insurance coordination.
  • Ensures staffing coverage and manages shift for the team.
  • Monitors attendance and call logging; coaches staff on clinical decisions.
  • Ensures documentation completion and required follow-up tasks before shift end.

How you'll contribute

An Assessment Supervisor who excels in this role:

  • Facilitates response to request for services, including the initial response, the assessment and referral process, the designation of appropriate level of care, admission into services and appropriate follow up activity
  • Conducts initial evaluation, initiates the assessment, documenting patient symptomology, functioning, needs and provides information to MD for LOC determination
  • Demonstrates excellent customer service skills in assisting patients, physicians, visitors and coworkers in a prompt and courteous manner
  • Possess clear knowledge of Emergency Detention paperwork and processes and EMTALA
  • Maintains all pre-admission and admission paperwork with accuracy, completes all per-certification with insurance companies
  • Ensures appropriate staffing for shift
  • Minimizes use of overtime
  • Assists in monitoring attendance
  • Educates and coaches staff and acts as a point person for clinical decisions
  • Reports all issues and incidents to the Director of appropriately
  • Ensure staff has completed all needed documentation, call logging, insurance calls, and additional tasks prior to the end of shift

What we're looking for
  • Education: Associate's Degree in Nursing Required or Master's degree in Social Work/Counseling required.
  • License: Current unencumbered clinical, social work, or RN license
  • Additional Requirements: CPR certification and Crisis Prevention Training (CPI) within 30 days.
