Qualifications

Responsibilities

  • Assist with updating policies and procedures per the JetBlue GMM.
  • Conduct random auditing of Records Coordinators’ work.
  • Provide guidance and training to internal departments on retention records database.
  • Coordinate with external agencies regarding aircraft technical records.
  • Assist QA and FAA during internal and external records audits.
  • Improve scanning system and indexing for archiving and retrieval.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Job description

Position Summary

The Supervisor Aircraft records is responsible for maintaining a system of records to ensure the proper time control and historical data for airframes, engines, and other components. The Supervisor is an innovative and technical individual, with exceptional business judgment.

Essential Responsibilities
  • Responsible for guiding the records Coordinators in maintaining a system of records that will ensure the availability of proper time control and substantiate historical data for all Airframes, Engines and components, accessories, appliances, Airworthiness Directives, Engineering Orders and Fleet campaign Directives
  • Assist with modifying the policies and procedures for the Records Department in accordance with the JetBlue General Maintenance Manual (GMM).
  • Conduct random auditing for the work completed by the Records Coordinators
  • Provide guidance, assistance and training with other internal departments regarding the retention records database
  • Ensure proper support is provided to external agencies, and /or departments with any requests regarding the aircraft technical records.
  • Responsible to assist QA and FAA during an Internal and External Records Audit
  • Assist in improving the scanning system for records, performing optical character recognition and indexing the records for archiving and reference retrieval
  • Other duties as assigned
Minimum Experience and Qualifications
  • High School Diploma or General Education Development (GED) Diploma
  • Three (3) years of experience in Aircraft Records
  • Knowledge of the General Maintenance Manual (GMM) and Air Transport Association (ATA) coding
  • Comprehensive understanding of FAR 121.380 Regulations
  • Potential need to work flexible hours and be available to respond on short notice, and be on-call when required.
  • Proficient with Computers, scanning, and database spreadsheet software
  • Available for occasional overnight travel (10%)
  • Must pass a pre-employment drug test
  • Legally eligible to work in the country in which position is located
  • Authorization to work in the US is required, this position is not eligible for visa sponsorship
Preferred Experience and Qualifications
  • Associates Degree in Aviation, Business, or in the related field
  • Valid FAA Airframe & Powerplant license
  • Two (2) years of supervisory and/or leadership experience
  • Four (4) years of experience in Aircraft Records
Crewmember Expectations
  • Regular attendance and punctuality
  • Potential need to work flexible hours and be available to respond on short-notice
  • Able to maintain a professional appearance
  • When working or traveling on JetBlue flights, and if time permits, all capable crewmembers are asked to assist with light cleaning of the aircraft
  • Must be an appropriate organizational fit for the JetBlue culture, that is, exhibit the JetBlue values of Safety, Caring, Integrity, Passion and Fun
  • Must fulfill safety accountabilities as prescribed by JetBlue's Safety Management System
  • Promote JetBlue's #1 value of safety as a Safety Ambassador, supporting JetBlue's Safety Management System (SMS) components, Safety Policy and behavioral standards
  • Identify safety concerns, issues, incidents or hazards that should be reported and report them whenever possible and by any means necessary including JetBlue's confidential reporting systems (Aviation Safety Action Program (ASAP) or Safety Action Report (SAR))
  • Responsible for adhering to all applicable laws, regulations (FAA, OSHA, DOT, etc.) and Company policies, procedures and risk controls
  • Uphold JetBlue's safety performance metric goals and understand how they relate to their duties and responsibilities
  • The use of ChatGPT or any other automated tool during the interview process will disqualify a candidate from being considered for the position

Compensation
  • The base pay range for this position is between $64,000.00 and $96,000.00 per year. Base pay is one component of JetBlue's total compensation package, which may also include access to healthcare benefits, a 401(k) plan and company match, crewmember stock purchase plan, short-term and long-term disability coverage, basic life insurance, free space available travel on JetBlue, and more.
