Job description

The Supervisor is responsible for developing and promoting a variety of activities that include internal and external opportunities for socialization across the religious and ethnic backgrounds of the facility/agency's clients. Oversight and direction of the activities and volunteer program must be focused to meet the federal and state requirements for skilled nursing facilities. The Supervisor recruits, trains, and supports volunteers. The position actively incorporates the Mission and Vision of Providence Health Systems.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Recreational Therapy or a related field, or significant, appropriate, and relevant work experience that may substitute for the degree requirement.
  • National Provider BLS - American Heart Association within 30 days of hire.
  • One year of experience working with long-term care activity programs or one year of supervisory experience.
