Job summary

Triple-S Steel is seeking a Warehouse Supervisor to oversee distribution operations, including shipping, put-away, cycle counting, picking, packing, and returns. This role provides daily leadership and direction to warehouse personnel and is accountable for productivity, quality, safety, and on-time shipments.

The position requires hands-on involvement across shifts, with flexibility to support second shift as needed.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED equivalent.
• Three years’ experience in a distribution environment (steel preferred).
• Strong computer literacy and familiarity with warehousing systems.
• Proven supervisory abilities and leadership track record.
• Excellent planning and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Ensure warehouse personnel are assigned to the appropriate work areas to meet deadlines.
• Direct production, shipping, cost, quality, and safety to meet goals.
• Review schedules, determine workforce requirements, and monitor productivity.
• Make daily workflow decisions to achieve operational objectives.
• Monitor operations, procedures and staff to ensure quality and productivity.
• Enforce company policies on quality, safety, health and environment.
• Assist with training new employees in safety and job responsibilities.
• Enter incident reports.

Overview

In this key role, the Warehouse Supervisor is responsible for overseeing distribution operations, including shipping, put-away, cycle counting, picking, packing, and returns. This individual provides daily leadership and direction to warehouse personnel and is accountable for achieving key performance objectives related to productivity, quality, safety, and on-time customer shipments.

This is a working supervisor position that requires active involvement in warehouse operations as needed to support the team. While first shift may serve as the primary assignment, the role requires flexibility to provide leadership, oversight, and operational support across multiple shifts. The successful candidate must be available to support second-shift operations as needed to ensure appropriate supervision and continuity of operations.

Responsibilities

• Ensure warehouse personnel are assigned to the appropriate work areas throughout the working day to meet deadlines for all processes.
• Directing production, shipping, cost, quality, and safety so that goals are met.
• Reviewing schedules, determining work force requirements, and monitoring productivity to ensure customer requirements are met.
• Make decisions regarding workflow throughout the day to ensure daily operational objectives are met.
• Monitor on an established basis, operations, procedures and employees to ensure quality, service and productivity objectives are met.
• Ensure all established Triple S Steel polices are enforced and followed by all employees. Such as, but not limited to: Quality Policy, Security, Safety, Health, Environmental, Attendance and all other policies.
• Assist with training new employees in safety, proper work assignments, and job responsibilities
• Entry of incident reports
• INVEX Support
• Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Education and Experience:

• High school diploma or GED equivalent
• Three years’ experience in a distribution environment (preferably steel distribution)
