Job summary

Parkhurst Dining Services, Inc. seeks a supervisor to oversee the dining hall and retail location at Immaculata University. This role leads by example, ensures quality food and guest service in a welcoming environment, and maintains standards for safety and cleanliness.

You will coach and develop employees, coordinate daily operations, and collaborate with management to continuously improve service. A values-driven mindset and ability to build relationships with students and guests are essential.

Qualifications

• Six or more years of professional experience with four or more years in a food service role.
• Bachelor’s or Associate’s Degree in Culinary, Hospitality Management, Business, or related field preferred, or equivalent job-related experience.
• Ability to perform basic math calculations.
• Ability to organize workloads and meet time deadlines.
• Supervisory and team management skills desirable.

Responsibilities

• Supervises team members in their area of responsibility and consults with management to improve services.
• Upholds policies and procedures and maintains service standards.
• Maintains presence in service areas to assess customer satisfaction and resolve issues.

Education

The ideal candidate for a Parkhurst Supervisor is a motivated, dependable, and people-focused leader who is passionate about providing exceptional food quality and guest service in a welcoming environment. This individual leads by example, communicates effectively, builds positive relationships with team members and guests, and fosters a culture of teamwork, accountability, and continuous improvement. They are organized, adaptable, and proactive in managing daily operations, while maintaining high standards for food safety, cleanliness, efficiency, and service. A successful candidate demonstrates strong problem-solving skills, sound judgment, and a willingness to coach and develop employees, support student dining needs, and embrace our shared purpose of creating a smile with every meal, every guest, and every team interaction.
