A+E Global Media is seeking a Supervising Producer, Social & Original Video to ideate and produce social-first digital content. You’ll lead a team, oversee scripting, editing, and field shoots, and ensure consistency across franchises with a clear editorial voice.

Qualifications

• 5-7 years experience leading video projects for social and digital platforms with prior direct management or personnel leadership.
• Strong social-first video editing and visualization skills.
• Expertise with Adobe Premiere and general proficiency with Adobe Creative Suite such as After Effects and Photoshop.
• Strong scripting and storytelling skills.

Job Description

THE ROLE:

The Supervising Producer, Social & Original Video is responsible for the ideation and creation of digital and social-first video content specifically tailored for social media platforms. Core responsibilities include developing new content types, pitching new content series, creating and editing original and repurposed video content, scripting, and managing content workflows. The role also includes field production tasks such as directing and shooting social (ie iPhone) video content, coordinating rights clearances, and maintaining organized content tracking systems. In addition to hands-on production, this role owns the development and evolution of social content types and recurring series, ensuring creative cohesion, consistency, and scalability across each franchise, and directly manages Social Producers to support high-quality, consistent execution across the slate. The Supervising Social Producer serves as the primary creative partner to the editorial team, proactively finding ways to translate editorial content into compelling, social-first video concepts and repeatable series. This role is responsible for identifying opportunities to create efficiencies across the content development process, while maintaining a strong creative point of view aligned with brand and audience goals.

MORE ABOUT WHAT YOU’LL DO:

• Create and Produce Social-First Creative Content: Develop original and repurposed content for social and digital platforms, including video and visual assets. Contribute to ideation, research, script writing, editing or overseeing edits, asset creation and management, and apply design principles with a focus on custom content and typography.
• Field Produce Social Shoots: Support social video shoots by field producing, directing, and shooting with iPhone as needed.
• Manage Content Tracking and Rights Clearance: Track projects and assets using the department’s content tracking system (e.g., Airtable), and coordinate rights submissions and clearances with the Global Rights team. Adhere to best practices for file naming, version control, and media storage in line with company and departmental protocols.
• Collaborate Across Teams and Support Workflow Improvements: Liaise with other departments on content production and assist in refining workflows and processes.
• Additional Duties as Needed: Support other tasks and responsibilities as assigned based on business needs and shifting priorities.

BASIC REQUIREMENTS:

• 5-7 years experience leading video projects for social and digital platforms with prior direct management or personel or team leadership required
• Strong social-first video editing and visualization skills
• Expertise with Adobe Premiere and general proficiency with Adobe Creative Suite such as After Effects and Photoshop
• Strong scripting and storytelling skills
• Demonstrable ability to own the video pipeline from concept through execution and delivery
• Comfortable appearing on camera or hosting short-form social video content
• Strong understanding of social media platforms and the content best suited for each (TikTok, Instagram, Twitter/X, Facebook, etc.)
• Savvy and knowledgeable about current social media trends
• Strong creative instincts and editorial judgment, with the ability to identify what stories, moments, and formats will resonate on social platforms

Compensation Annual Pay Range: $100,000 - $117,000 Annual Incentive Target: 10.00% The annual/hourly pay range displayed serves as a good faith estimate of the minimum and maximum base pay range for this role. Compensation for the role will be based on a number of different factors such as a candidate’s qualifications, skills, competencies, location, and experience.
