Job summary

Therapy 2000 seeks a Supervising Occupational Therapist for COTA's PRN in NE/Central/West El Paso. You will lead pediatric OT services in a home-based setting, coordinating care with families and providers, and ensuring high-quality outcomes across visits.

The role requires an active Texas OT license, 3+ years in pediatrics, and experience in home-health environments. A flexible, reliable clinician with a passion for pediatric care is ideal.

Qualifications

• Texas license to practice Occupational Therapy
• 3+ years as a pediatric OT
• Experience in home-health settings
• Experience or certifications in feeding therapy or other clinical specialties (high-risk infant, etc.)
• Access to continuing education opportunities provided in person and on-demand

Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive Occupational Therapy evaluations using standardized tests to determine patients’ needs for therapy.
• Develop and implement treatment plans aligned with physicians’ orders.
• Develop home exercise programs with caregivers.
• Coordinate care between providers and disciplines; complete required patient visits weekly.
• Meet deadlines for chart updates, progress summaries, call logs, and paperwork.
• Meet with agency personnel to align with expectations and standards for high-quality patient care.
• Adhere to agency policies, procedures, codes of ethics, and applicable laws for home-health pediatric OT.

What you’ll do:

• Perform comprehensive Occupational Therapy evaluations, using standardized tests to determine patients’ needs for therapy.
• Use your clinical judgment to develop and implement relevant treatment plans aligned with physicians’ orders.
• Develop home exercise programs in partnership with patients’ caregivers.
• Act as a vital member of your patients’ medical neighborhoods, collaborating and coordinating care between various providers and disciplines.
  Complete a minimum number of patient visits on a weekly basis as required by the agency.
• Meet deadlines for completion of patient chart updates, progress summaries, call logs, and all other paperwork as needed.
• Meet with agency personnel as necessary to maintain understanding of expectations and standards related to delivering high-quality patient care.
• Perform all duties in compliance with agency policies and procedures.
• Adhere to all rules, regulations, codes of ethics, guidelines and federal, state and local laws applicable to home-health pediatric occupational therapy.
