Job summary

Therapy 2000 in Texas seeks a pediatric Occupational Therapist to deliver home-based services to children, crafting individualized therapy plans and partnering with families for progress at home.

You will assess, implement, and monitor progress, coordinate with physicians and the care team, and help children reach their goals in familiar surroundings. Travel between visits is expected, with opportunities for continuing education and benefits.

Qualifications

• Current/active Texas OT license.
• 3+ years as a pediatric occupational therapist.
• Experience in home-health setting.
• Experience or certifications in feeding therapy or other clinical specialties.

Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive Occupational Therapy evaluations using standardized tests.
• Develop and implement treatment plans per physicians’ orders.
• Develop home exercise programs with patients’ caregivers.
• Collaborate and coordinate care between providers and disciplines; complete required patient visits weekly.
• Meet deadlines for chart updates, progress summaries, call logs, and paperwork.
• Maintain understanding of expectations and standards for delivering high-quality patient care.
• Adhere to agency policies, procedures, and applicable laws.

Qualifications

What you’ll need:

• A current/active license to practice Occupational Therapy in the state of Texas.

• Experience in a home-health setting.

Responsibilities

What you’ll do:

• Perform comprehensive Occupational Therapy evaluations, using standardized tests to determine patients’ needs for therapy.
• Use your clinical judgment to develop and implement relevant treatment plans aligned with physicians’ orders.
• Develop home exercise programs in partnership with patients’ caregivers.
• Act as a vital member of your patients’ medical neighborhoods, collaborating and coordinating care between various providers and disciplines.
  Complete a minimum number of patient visits on a weekly basis as required by the agency.
• Meet deadlines for completion of patient chart updates, progress summaries, call logs, and all other paperwork as needed.
• Meet with agency personnel as necessary to maintain understanding of expectations and standards related to delivering high-quality patient care.
• Perform all duties in compliance with agency policies and procedures.
• Adhere to all rules, regulations, codes of ethics, guidelines and federal, state and local laws applicable to home-health pediatric occupational therapy.
