Job summary

Community Healthcare Network is seeking a Supervising OB/GYN Physician to advance Sexual and Reproductive Health, Obstetrics and Gynecology across CHN centers in New York City. You will supervise Women's Health providers and contribute to high-quality primary and preventive care.

You will collaborate with Medical Affairs, Center Medical Directors and leadership to ensure compliant operations, ongoing staff education, and performance improvement within CHN's women's health services.

Qualifications

• MD license in NYS and board certification in OB/GYN required.
• Experience supervising Women's Health services preferred.
• Strong collaboration and policy implementation skills.

Responsibilities

• Provides medical services to patients in accordance with CHN policies on a regularly assigned schedule.
• Assists in staff training around Women’s Health topics.
• Assists Medical Director for Women’s Health in quality assurance and policy development.
• Serves as Director for Women’s Health in the absence of the Medical Director.
• Oversees examinations, diagnoses, and care at CHN centers.
• Collaborates with Health Directors to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
• Ensures CHN staff adhere to policies and procedures in delivery of care.
• Leads chart reviews and peer review processes for assigned providers.
• Coordinates with Medical Affairs on Women’s Health Services operations.

Position Summary

The Supervising OB/GYN Physician works with the leadership of the Women's Health department in building the Sexual and Reproductive Health, Obstetrics and Gynecologic practice at the centers, evaluates the quality of patient care and serves as consultant to other health care professionals. This position is responsible for providing high quality primary and preventative care in Sexual and Reproductive Health, Obstetrics and Gynecology and Women's Health at CHN centers, supervising Women's Health and other providers and clinical team members rendering Family Planning services and serving as consultant to other health care professionals. When required, responsible for working with the Medical Affairs staff for managing clinical operations as it pertains to Women's Health Services at CHN.

Job Function

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Provides medical services to patients in accordance with CHN clinical policies and procedures on a regularly assigned schedule.
• Assists in training of staff and students around Women’s Health topics
• Assists Medical Director for Women’s Health in quality assurance, chart review, policy creation and implementation and other leadership roles in the department
• Serves as Director for Women’s Health in his/her absence
• Comprehensive examination and diagnosis of patients at an assigned center or centers.
• Collaborates with the Director of Women's Health, Center Medical Director, Director of Primary Care. Assists in reviews of administrative and clinical policies and procedures annually to ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements—proposes changes and new policies to the Director for Women’s Health and the Vice President of Medical Affairs.
• Assures that providers, nurses and laboratory staff adhere to CHN policies and procedures in the delivery of care.
• Works with the Medical Affairs central office to ensure new staff are trained and oriented to CHN.
• Participates in monthly clinical staff meetings and monthly Providers’ meetings.
• Oversees the chart audit process and maintains a peer review process for assigned providers
• Works closely with the Medical Director of Infectious Disease and the Director of Women’s Health in all areas concerning HIV and Women’s Health issues.
• Facilitates related services for health center patients and CHN staff as appropriate, with respect to their confidentiality and privacy.
• Participates in continuing education and maintains credentials as required.
• Participates in committees and conducts other duties as assigned by supervisor.
