Joseph P. Addabbo Family Health Center, Inc. seeks an OB/GYN to deliver comprehensive women’s health care across prenatal, natal, and postnatal periods. You will diagnose using exams, labs, and history, and plan interventions including lifestyle, medications, or procedures as indicated.

You will collaborate with a broad clinical team, provide preventive services, coordinate referrals, and participate in on-call coverage, quality improvement, and CME activities to ensure high-quality patient care.

Qualificações

• Graduate of an approved medical school.
• M.D. Licensure in New York State.
• Board certified or Board eligible in OB/GYN.
• Credential approved by the Credentialing Committee.
• BLS Required Medicaid Provider ID

Responsabilidades

• Work cooperatively with nurses, medical team assistants, counselors, social workers, psychologist, psychiatrist, pharmacists, nutritionist and laboratory technologist to provide comprehensive team health care.
• Evaluate, diagnose, and treat patients with acute and chronic conditions related to women’s health across the lifespan.
• Provide preventive and primary women’s health services, including periodic physical examinations, immunizations, health education, prenatal and postpartum care, and evidence-based preventive screenings.
• Ensure appropriate referrals, care coordination, and follow-up for patients requiring inpatient or specialty services at affiliated hospitals or other approved facilities.
• Participate in scheduled on-call coverage to support patient access to care outside of regular clinic hours, as required by Health Center policy.
• Participate in Quality Improvement and Quality Assurance activities, including chart reviews, performance improvement initiatives, data collection, and UDS reporting requirements.
• Participate in continuing Professional Education programs to provide CME credits per year.
• Follow the guides as provided in the Policy and Procedures Manual for OB/GYN Medicine.
• May rotate across all Health Center sites to support business operations and ensure continuity of patient care.
• May be required to perform other duties as assigned or when necessary; if such work becomes a permanent part of the job, a new description will be prepared.

Description

The OB/GYN provides comprehensive women’s health care and preventive services. The physician treats patients during the prenatal, natal, and postnatal periods and conducts examinations using physical findings, laboratory results, and patient history to diagnose conditions. Based on clinical assessment, the physician determines appropriate care plans, including dietary modifications, physical activity recommendations, medications, or surgical interventions when indicated.

Requirements

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• 1. The OB/GYN will work cooperatively with other allied health providers including nurses, medical team assistants, counselors, social workers, psychologist, psychiatrist, pharmacists, nutritionist and laboratory technologist in providing comprehensive team health care.
