Shaker Place Rehabilitation & Nursing Center seeks a supervising food service helper to oversee food distribution, serving, and kitchen cleanliness. Occasional cooking and supervision of the main kitchen may be required under supervision.
The role involves supervising subordinate staff, preparing carts, and ensuring adherence to procedures while performing additional tasks as needed.
The supervising food service helper oversees the distributing and serving of food and in the cleaning of the dining and kitchen areas. The work also involves occasional cooking duties and the occasional supervision of the main kitchen. The work is performed in accordance with prescribed procedures under the general supervision. This work involves supervising subordinate food service helpers in preparing food carts and cleaning kitchen and dining areas. Performs other tasks as required.
Graduation from a regionally accredited or New York State registered college or university with an associate degree in food service administration or nutrition and one (1) year of food service experience;
OR
Three (3) years of food service experience in an institutional setting.
