Qualifications

Responsibilities

  • Oversee multiple remote and REMI production projects.
  • Collaborate with production partners to launch productions and maintain standards, plus identifies workflows to suit changing business needs.
  • Organizes and leads meetings for assigned projects, both within and across departments, to develop production and operational strategies.
  • Proficient with all aspects of set design, animation packages, show budgets and remote planning.
  • Direct the broadest possible range of productions including ESPN’s highest profile shows.
  • Staff oversight with concentration toward Associate Directors and Stage Managers; provide feedback to Directors, Associate Directors and Stage Managers.
  • Establish regular feedback and review sessions with all members of Directing; participate in weekly Directing management meeting.
  • Leads teams to drive innovation and new workflows that embrace technology.
  • Builds monthly schedules for Directors, Associate Directors and Stage Managers.
  • Identifies, implements and tracks staff development opportunities.
  • Contributes to recruitment and retention objectives.
  • Holds staff accountable to maintain the Directing Department performance standards.

Job description

This Supervising Director role is responsible for the supervision of personnel and projects involving Remote and Event productions, as well as the direction of the department’s most complex and highest profile productions. The Supervising Director will work within the department to maintain the quality of presentations through oversight while providing direction across multiple departments through collaboration. In addition, will work in conjunction with Coordinating Producers to provide support and guidance on content philosophy and execution. The Supervising Director should possess strong production and technical knowledge, and demonstrate leadership qualities in all interactions and decisions. Required Education
  • High school diploma

The hiring range for this position in Bristol, CT is $168,400 to $225,800 per year based on a 40 hour work week. The amount of hours scheduled per week may vary based on business needs. The base pay actually offered will take into account internal equity and also may vary depending on the candidate’s geographic region, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors. A bonus and/or long-term incentive units may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to the full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the level and position offered.
