Yellowstone National Park spans 2.25 million acres across Wyoming, Montana, and Idaho and is one of the world's most complex national park operations. The park protects extensive natural, cultural, and historic resources, including more than 10,000 thermal features, Yellowstone Lake, the Grand Canyon of the Yellowstone, and thousands of years of cultural history. Yellowstone is also a UNESCO Biosphere Reserve and World Heritage Site.
