Job summary

The Tepa Companies are seeking a Superintendent/SSHO to oversee project execution, safety and quality from preconstruction through close-out at a Warner Robins, GA site.

The role requires five years of federal construction management experience, USACE EM 385-1-1 and RMS familiarity, OSHA 30-hour training, and current First Aid/CPR certification. ProCore, BlueBeam, Word and Excel skills are essential.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • Minimum of five (5) years of construction management experience on federal construction projects.
  • USACE RMS experience required.
  • USACE EM 385-1-1 knowledge.
  • OSHA 30-hour Construction Safety & Health training within last 5 years.
  • Current First Aid/CPR certification.
  • Formal construction safety/health training (USACE EM 385-1-1 topics).
  • Proficiency in ProCore, BlueBeam, MS Word and Excel.
  • Fluent in English; valid driver's license.
  • Able to pass drug screen and background check.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee project execution, safety and quality from preconstruction to close-out.
  • Manage safety program and enforce OSHA/USACE requirements.
  • Coordinate with Project Manager and subcontractors; lead safety meetings.
  • Maintain logs, documentation and project files; ensure timely close-out.

The Superintendent is responsible for project execution, safety, and quality throughout preconstruction, construction, and close-out activities. As an SSHO, you will be responsible for managing, communicating, implementing, and enforcing compliance with Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) regulations, United States Army Corps of Engineers (USACE) EM 385-1-1, Tepa's Accident Prevention Plan and other accepted safety and health submittals.Job Functions:PRE-CONSTRUCTIONReviews plans and specifications (general familiarization)Conducts pre-construction/safety meeting with Project ManagerImplements and manages the Four Point Quality Control PlanConducts owner pre-construction meetingInitiates and coordinates mobilization of equipment and personnelFinalizes the schedule with Project ManagerCONSTRUCTIONEstablishes and verifies quality control programEstablishes and maintains safety programConducts daily inspectionsMonitors daily task scheduleOversees subcontractor labor forceConducts weekly meetingsSchedules and coordinates inspections and testingIndoctrinates all new employees and visitors to the siteMaintains all required documentation and correspondence between client/main office/subcontractorMaintains all daily/weekly logs and inspection sheetsUploads daily/weekly logs and inspection sheets to electronic project fileMaintains meeting minutesExecutes and monitors project safety planCONSTRUCTION CLOSE-OUTSchedules and coordinates punch list workCoordinates the timely completion of as-builtsReviews and hand-delivers close-out documents to Project ManagerCloses all site files, notes, and documentationBoxes and labels site files, notes, and documentation by job number, contract name, field fileInitiates and coordinates demobilization of equipment and personnelWHAT WE’RE LOOKING FORHigh School Diploma or General Education DiplomaMinimum of five (5) years of construction management experience on federal construction projectsExperience using the USACE Resident Management System (RMS)Construction Quality Management (CQM) for Contractors certification issued by the USACE within the last 5 yearsOSHA 30-hour Construction Safety & Health training within the last 5 yearsFormal construction or industry safety and health training covering the subjects in USACE EM 385-1-1Current First Aid/CPR certificationProcedural knowledge of construction tradesIntermediate proficiency in ProCore, BlueBeam, Microsoft Word and ExcelIntermediate proficiency in oral and written communicationIntermediate proficiency in problem solvingFluent in the English languageMust be able to pass a drug screen and back ground check in compliance with federal regulationMust possess a valid driver’s licenseEqual Opportunity Employer/Veterans/DisabledSalary Range:
