The Assistant Project Manager collaborates with the PM to develop, refine, and update project schedules, budgets, estimating, and procurement activities to ensure overall project performance.Job Functions:Assists with creating project schedules in Microsoft Project or Primavera P6Performs bid review, drawing review, and on-site construction management as assignedManages preconstruction plan developmentPrepares submittal packages as assignedFacilitates the definition of project scope, goals, and deliverablesAssists the PM in the development process including consultants, subcontractors, vendors, specialty contractors, budgets, and internal departmentsReview proposal requirementsAssists the PM with each phase of the project including entitlement, design-build, permitting, bidding, contracting, construction, billing, and project close-outPlans, schedules, and manages project timelines to see all deadlines are metPerforms cost estimatingDevelop subcontractor scopesPerforms quality control and assuranceTracks RFIsConducts pre-qualification and procurement activities (buyout) of subcontractorsPerforms cost and risk analysis and provides recommendations to PMMaintains open communication with field staff regarding all issues and work to resolutionsReads and understands complex drawings and specificationsInteracts with subcontractors to answer scope questions and give directionInputs RFIs into ProjnetTracks amendments through Sam.Gov for active pursuitsSources subcontractors in multiple locations simultaneouslyPrepares preconstruction plan submittals, including APP, CQCP, WMP, resumes, and incidental data requirements as neededTravels to project sites as assigned to perform onsite positionsTravel to project sites 1 – 2 times per month or as directed by EVP or Operations ManagerWHAT WE’RE LOOKING FORBachelor’s degree in construction or similar or 4+ years of experience performing one or more of the following roles: Superintendent, Quality Control Manager, and Site Safety & Health Officer (SSHO), or equivalent experience in other areas of construction such as preconstruction, closeout, business development; and2+ years’ experience assisting in construction project management in new and vertical construction, and the design-build construction processCapable of running multiple projects simultaneouslyAdvanced understanding of risk management policies and proceduresDemonstrated problem-solving skillsExcellent verbal and written communication skillsAbility to prioritize required tasks to meet multiple schedule deadlinesStrong proficiency in Microsoft OfficeEqual Opportunity Employer/Veterans/DisabledSalary Range:$104,302.22 - $128,779.44
