The position collaborates with the project team during preconstruction, develops schedules, and drives on-time, on-budget project delivery while aligning with company policies and procedures.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• 7+ years of commercial construction field experience.
• 3 years of direct supervisory experience related to staff and subcontractor management.
• Proficiency with a PC and company tools (email, internet, Procore, Bluebeam, Navisworks, MS Office).
• Scheduling experience; P6 experience preferred.
• OSHA 30 certification.
• Ability to work night shift if needed.

Superintendent

Balfour Beatty Construction is seeking a Superintendent for our special projects group. The Superintendent is responsible for all field operations, including the coordination of subcontractors’ work. Responsible for all field activities associated with the project, including ultimate responsibility for implementation of Safety/Zero Harm program for the job site, supervision of all field construction work by subcontractors. Shares responsibility with the project manager for actively participating in the preconstruction phase, and ensuring that the project is built on time, within budget, and according to company policies and procedures.

Essential Functions

• Safety: ZERO HARM
  • Lead, Oversee and Educate Owners, Subcontractors, Team Members and Community on the Zero Harm safety culture and its benefits.
  • Perform project safety walks. Lead in project safety meetings.
  • Lead Safety Stand downs, tool box talks and etc.
  • Participate in incident investigations
  • Ensure safety is properly incorporated into job planning and project execution.
• Develop and maintain strong with new and existing clients, construction managers, architects/ engineers, subcontractors, key stakes holders and community.
  • Prepare operations-related components of proposals and presentations
  • Lead construction delivery portions of presentations
• Project Financial Responsibility to ensure a project is delivered with Budget .
  • Communicate with Project Manager on Potential extra charges and proper Cost Event tracking and Notifications.
• Preconstruction -
  • Assist with Constructability/ Value Engineering,
  • Create and update Phase and Site Logistic plans
  • Create Overall Project schedule
  • Assist in Scope Writing
  • Review of Owner Contract.
  • Identify Risk
  • Participate in Preconstruction Meeting with Owner and Subcontractors
• Planning & Scheduling-
  • Develop the Overall Project Plan, Phasing, Logistics Milestones and Schedule
  • Perform schedule updates (prefer P6 experience)- Monthly Updates, 3 week look ahead, etc
  • Lead pull planning sessions with subcontractors and other key stakeholders
  • Delay tracking and Notifications.
  • Procurement Tracking
  • Ability to Identify, Navigate and negotiation schedule roadblocks and etc.
  • Cost Loaded Schedule experience is a plus.
• Project Administration, Operations, and Close-out
  • Co- Lead with Project Manager Owner, Architect, Contractor (OAC) and Key Stake Holder meetings
  • Lead weekly subcontractor meetings
  • Participate Monthly Project Reporting (MPR) preparation and discussions
  • Communicate job needs / issues up as necessary
  • Lead the Project Quality Control Program, Preconstruction Meeting, first work inspections and etc.
  • Assist in closeout of project, subcontractors and vendors. Lead project punch-list completion
  • Obtain certificate of occupancy and government approvals

Minimum Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• 7 years or more of commercial construction field experience.
• 3 years of direct supervisory experience related to staff and subcontractor management.
• Proficiency using a personal computer (PC) and company communication tools, such as email, the internet, Procore, Bluebeam, Navisworks and Microsoft products (e.g., Word, Excel, Office, Outlook). Creating and maintain schedules in P6 is a plus.
• Ability to read plans and specs.
• Scheduling experience software application (prefer P6 experience).
• OSHA 30
• Ability to work night shift if needed

Preferred Experience

• Theme Park or attraction experience is a plus.
• Experience working in a commercial construction Superintendent role, highly desired.
• DBIA and CCM Professional Certifications (preferred but not required)
• CIESC Certification (preferred but not required)

The base compensation range for the role of Night Superintendent is $120,000 to $160,000 annually. This is the lowest to highest salary we in good faith believe we would pay for this role at the time of this posting. We may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range, and the range may be modified in the future. An employee's pay position within the salary range will be based on several factors including, but not limited to, relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, geographic location, performance, shift, travel requirements, any collective bargaining agreements, and business or organizational needs. No amount of pay is considered to be wages or compensation until such amount is earned, vested, and determinable. The amount and availability of any bonus, incentive, or any other form of compensation that are allocable to a particular employee remains in the Company's sole discretion unless and until paid and may be modified at the Company's sole discretion, consistent with the law and any applicable plan documents.
