Job summary

MPI seeks an assertive Superintendent for its Arizona Special Projects Group. The role leads Foreman and site crews on high-profile projects in Greater Phoenix and reports to the Project Manager.

Ideal candidates have 5+ years supervisory construction experience, an Associate Degree or Journeyman status, and strong blueprint reading and cost-analysis skills. Travel to remote locations is required.

Qualifications

• Associate degree or journeyman status with relevant experience.
• Minimum 5 years of construction industry experience on complex projects.
• Minimum 3 years of direct supervisory experience.
• Ability to read blueprints and project specs.
• Proficient with standard office software and cost analysis.

Responsibilities

• Understand project specs, and ensure materials and subcontract work meet contract documents and quality specs.
• Execute established schedule and maintain progress communication with PMs and owners.
• Organize, coordinate, and supervise Foreman and site employees.
• Determine work priorities, estimate manpower needs, and assign activities.
• Coordinate and track site materials, equipment and subcontractors.
• Manage labor costs, monitor expenditures, and implement corrective actions.
• Ensure safety training and compliance with standards.
• Maintain project documents including logs and timekeeping.
• Lead day-to-day inspections to enforce contract specifications.
