Job summary

Entergy Corporation is seeking a Superintendent Outage & Process to lead long-range outage planning and execution at Texas facilities. The role oversees outage stages, budget planning, and safety/compliance for complex unit outages.

The candidate will drive contractor interfaces, coach PMs, and ensure alignment with ECD/CBO targets and 5-year plans, while maintaining a strong focus on cost and safety.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering or related field, or equivalent experience.
• 5 years of power plant maintenance experience.
• 2 years of project management leadership experience.

Responsibilities

• Oversees long range and detailed planning and execution of unit outages according to the outage stage gate process.
• Manages cost, schedule and safety processes for outage scopes of work.
• Interfaces with Plant Management to communicate and drive resolution of key issues impacting project/outage.
• Coaches project managers to deliver expected financial, safety and schedule results on outage scopes, projects, Outage Stage Gate Reviews, ECD/CBO and 5 year budget planning.
• Oversees and manages LTSA contracts.
• Participate in plant monthly ROP meetings.
• Understand, negotiates, and influences contract language for vendors/contractors to protect Entergy's best interest.

JOB SUMMARY/PURPOSE

Develops long range outage plans and budgets, executes planned outages and large capital projects, manages the Condition Based Outage process, Boiler Tube Failure Reduction process, Outage Stage Gate Process, Risk Register and the 5 year budget plan and project management as needed and assigned.

This position is designated as a Safety Sensitive position and is subject to mandatory pre-employment and random drug testing.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

Minimum education required of the position

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Engineering Technology, Construction Management, or in related field or equivalent work experience

Minimum experience required of the position

• Must have 5 years of Power Plant Maintenance related experience
• Must have 2 years of demonstrated experience in a Project Management leadership role

Minimum knowledge, skills and abilities required of the position

• Power plant major component repair; AIMM; ROP, OSGP, Risk Register, Supply Chain and Accounting policies and procedures
• EH&S policy knowledge; Compliance standards, especially Sarbanes-Oxley
• Knowledge of industry standards related to modification of plant components and engineering standards
• Condition Based Outage process requirements
• Microsoft Office suite, including Microsoft Project
• ASME codes applicable to large power boilers and steam piping
