Job summary

The Lane Construction Corporation is seeking a Field Superintendent to lead field personnel, manage daily and weekly construction schedules, and oversee project operations on heavy civil projects in the Pittsburgh area.

Coordinate with superintendents and subcontractors, monitor risks and production, assist engineers with quantities, promote a strong safety culture, and ensure labor, equipment, and materials are used efficiently to meet production goals.

Qualifications

• Requires minimum 5 years of experience in heavy civil construction.
• Experience coordinating field crews and subcontractors.
• Familiarity with safety standards and quality control.

Responsibilities

• Oversees field personnel and daily/weekly schedules.
• Collaborates with other Superintendents and subcontractors.
• Monitors risks, status and project performance in reviews.
• Assists Engineers with quantities and productions.
• Establishes and promotes a safety culture.
• Ensures labor, equipment and materials are used efficiently and cost-effectively.
• Coaches crews and provides on-the-job training.
• Manages employees through mentoring and feedback.
• Ensures production goals are achieved.
• Adheres to Safety and Quality Standards.
• Tracks quantities accurately.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

• Oversees field personnel, daily/weekly schedules, and construction operations.
• Collaborates with other Superintendents and subcontractors.
• Closely monitors communicates risks, status etc. in project review meetings.
• Assists Engineers with quantities and productions.
• Establishes and promotes a safety culture.
• Ensures labor, equipment and materials are maintained, protected, secured and used at optimum efficiency and cost effectiveness.
• Coaches and provides on-the-job training to crews.
• Manages employees by mentoring, coaching, providing feedback and assessing performance.
• Schedules and Oversees field personnel, daily/weekly schedules, and all construction operations.
• Ensures production goals are achieved.
• Ensures project personnel adheres to Safety and Quality Standards.
• Ensures accurate and timely quantity tracking.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Education

High School Diploma or GED
