Job summary

Michael Page is seeking a Lead Interior Construction Superintendent for high-end luxury projects in Chicago. You will oversee field operations from preconstruction to completion, coordinate subcontractors, vendors, architects, designers, and clients to ensure quality finishes, schedule performance, and strict safety standards.

Preferred candidates hold a related degree, 4+ years as a superintendent, OSHA certification, and a proven track record of ground-up projects with large teams.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Architecture or a related field is preferred.
  • 4+ years as a construction superintendent for a general contractor.
  • OSHA certification preferred.
  • Strong communication skills, both oral and written.
  • Experience leading ground-up construction projects with large teams.

Responsibilities

  • Manage day-to-day construction field activities to meet milestone dates and schedule.
  • Review blueprints and contractor submissions to execute bids.
  • Lead project planning and site logistics.
  • Monitor subcontractors for quality workmanship and safety.
  • Maintain daily/weekly logs and ensure timely completion of projects.
  • Coordinate and supervise all construction activities.
  • Engage with investors professionally and maintain client-facing attitude.
  • Ensure proper signage and safety requirements on site.

Lead interior construction for high-end luxury builds throughout Chicago from preconstruction through completion. Coordinate subcontractors, vendors, architects, designers, and clients to ensure quality, craftsmanship, and schedule performance. Oversee daily field operations, safety, inspections, punch lists, and documentation while maintaining exceptional standards for finishes, millwork, detailing, and architectural execution.

Description
  • Manage day-to-day construction field activities to ensure that project milestone dates and overall schedule completion dates are met.
  • Review blueprints, customer needs and contractor submissions in order to execute appropriate bids.
  • Lead team with construction project planning and developing site logistics.
  • Monitor subcontractors to ensure quality workmanship and safety guidelines are met.
  • Utilize good time management to ensure timely completion of projects.
  • Keep daily and weekly work logs.
  • Coordinate and supervise all construction activities.
  • Work directly with investors at times and maintain a professional and client facing attitude.
  • Ensure proper signage is posted on the construction job site, and safety requirements are met.
Profile
  • Bachelor's Degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Architecture or a related field is preferred
  • 4+ years as a construction superintendent for a general contractor
  • OSHA certification (preferred)
  • Strong communication skills, both oral and written
  • Experience leading ground-up construction projects and managing a large team
  • Mid-rise experience, preferably with diverse projects
  • Proven track record of effectively and efficiently managing job sites
  • Working knowledge of field construction: systems, practices, safety and procedures. Also, knowledge of general engineering principals and construction techniques, materials, methods, and sequencing
  • Excellent communication skills with various parties including management, subcontractors, consultants, architects, vendors, and clients
