Superintendent in Training (Sioux Falls, SD)

GPC is a private construction firm specializing in building projects. We are seeking responsible individuals to join our team and train in all aspects of construction work.

Advancement Opportunities: You will start on the ground floor and have the chance to move up as we grow.

Position: GPC is seeking a Superintendent in Training to monitor construction projects throughout their lifecycle.

Responsibilities

• On-site project administration
• Document review
• Daily inspections and logging
• Safety inspections
• Inspection coordination
• Schedule management and coordination
• Cost management
• Personnel management: supervise staff and provide feedback
• Technical management and participation with field personnel in trade work, demolition, concrete, carpentry, etc.
• Subcontractor coordination
• Quality control
• Coordination with project management team
• Providing progress and project updates
• Maintaining a safe, clean, and orderly job site

Requirements

• Previous experience in construction site management, principles, and practices, or applicable education
• Basic knowledge of quality and safety guidelines for construction sites
• Understanding of construction operations and processes; proficiency in reading/reviewing plans and specs
• Proficiency in MS Office and Excel
• Degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or similar field, or applicable experience (a plus)
• Valid driver’s license and good driving record
