Job summary

Walsh Group is seeking a Project Superintendent II in Goodyear, AZ to own project execution from planning through closeout. You will coordinate subcontracts, drawings, and specs, lead crews, and ensure safety and regulatory compliance on a fast-growing project.

Qualifications

• High School diploma required or equivalent.
• 6+ years of experience in construction or similar.
• Basic computer skills preferred.
• Relocation may be required for some roles.

Responsibilities

• Coordinates subcontracts, drawings, and specifications to ensure conformity.
• Carries out inspections as needed.
• Daily planning, creation and maintenance of project schedules, including subcontractor specialty schedules and short interval schedules.
• Supervises and organizes workers; ensures workers are available and fully qualified to perform assigned duties.
• Schedules crews according to available work packages and required equipment/materials; monitors timely delivery of materials.
• Controls costs, adheres to budgets and manages equipment-related expenses; communicates production rates.
• Conducts regular safety meetings; maintains a safe work environment and complies with safety procedures.
• Assists management in ensuring compliance with legal and regulatory requirements.
• Participates in development and implementation of jobsite quality, safety and production plans; maintains records per project standards.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Coordinates subcontracts, drawings, and specifications to ensure conformity


• Carries out inspections as needed


• Responsible for daily planning, creation and maintenance of project schedules, including subcontractor specialty schedules and short interval schedules


• Supervises and organizes workers; ensures workers are available and fully qualified to perform assigned duties


• Schedules crews according to available work packages for the project and all required equipment and materials necessary to complete tasks. Monitors timely delivery of necessary materials to assure continued productivity


• Responsible for controlling costs, adhering to budgets and managing equipment-related expenses. Ensures staff is aware of production rates for assigned items of work


• Conducts regular safety meetings; maintains a safe work environment with the goal of keeping accidents and injuries to a minimum and complying with company and regulatory safety procedures. Complies with EPA requirements for hazardous materials


• Assists project management team ensuring compliance with the legal and regulatory requirements of the city, state and federal government applicable to the project


• Participates in the development and implementation of appropriate portions of the jobsite quality, safety and production plans; ensures maintenance of all records in accordance with project standards

QUALIFICATIONS

• High School diploma


• 6+ years of experience


• Basic computer skills are preferred


• Specific roles may require relocation
