MPI, a leading recruitment firm, is assisting a top general contractor in the Phoenix area in finding a Construction Superintendent with healthcare project experience. The role directs day-to-day field activities, and coordinates with investors to ensure safety and quality on ground-up projects.

Ideal candidates hold a Bachelor’s in Construction Management or related field, 4+ years of superintendent experience, OSHA preferred, and strong communication skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Architecture or related field preferred.
• 4+ years as a construction superintendent for a general contractor.
• OSHA certification preferred.
• Strong communication skills, both oral and written.
• Experience leading ground-up projects and managing large teams.
• Mid-rise experience, preferably with diverse projects.
• Knowledge of field construction practices, safety and sequencing.

Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day construction field activities to ensure milestone dates and schedules are met.
• Review blueprints, customer needs and contractor submissions to execute bids.
• Lead team with construction project planning and site logistics development.
• Monitor subcontractors to ensure quality workmanship and safety guidelines are met.
• Utilize time management to ensure timely project completion.
• Keep daily and weekly work logs.
• Coordinate and supervise all construction activities.
• Work directly with investors and maintain a professional, client-facing attitude.
• Ensure proper signage and safety requirements are met at the site.

Description

• Manage day-to-day construction field activities to ensure that project milestone dates and overall schedule completion dates are met.
• Review blueprints, customer needs and contractor submissions in order to execute appropriate bids.

Profile

• Bachelor's Degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Architecture or a related field is preferred
• 4+ years as a construction superintendent for a general contractor
• OSHA certification (preferred)
• Strong communication skills, both oral and written
• Experience leading ground-up construction projects and managing a large team
• Mid-rise experience, preferably with diverse projects
• Proven track record of effectively and efficiently managing job sites
• Working knowledge of field construction: systems, practices, safety and procedures. Also, knowledge of general engineering principals and construction techniques, materials, methods, and sequencing
• Excellent communication skills with various parties including management, subcontractors, consultants, architects, vendors, and clients

Job Offer
