Job summary

MPI is seeking an experienced Superintendent to lead healthcare renovation projects within active, occupied facilities in New York. You will manage field operations, coordinate subcontractors, and maintain schedules ensuring work aligns with contract documents, safety standards, and quality requirements.

The role requires coordinating multiple trades, reporting progress, and overseeing RFIs, with a strong emphasis on safety and regulatory compliance.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of experience as a Superintendent on commercial construction projects.
• Healthcare renovation experience within active/occupied facilities is required.
• Demonstrated ability to coordinate multiple trades and subcontractors on complex renovations.
• Strong understanding of construction documents, specifications, schedules, and field operations.
• Experience in safety-conscious environments with strict regulatory requirements.
• Proficiency in daily reporting, schedule tracking, and project documentation.
• Experience supporting RFI processes and construction administration activities.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong leadership, organizational, and problem-solving abilities.

Responsibilities

• Direct and oversee all field construction activities from project start through completion.
• Coordinate and manage all on-site work based on existing field conditions.
• Schedule and communicate work activities with subcontractors, vendors, and trade partners.
• Ensure project execution complies with contract documents, specifications, safety requirements, and quality standards.
• Lead and organize subcontractor coordination and progress meetings.
• Monitor project milestones and assist with schedule development and updates.
