Job summary

Skanska is seeking a Superintendent 1 (Area) for the Semiconductor sector to lead field operations, manage safety, and drive on-time, on-budget delivery of high‑tech facilities.

Ideal candidates will have 5+ years in construction, strong leadership of teams, and experience with cleanrooms and mission-critical environments. This role supports large-scale, complex projects with focus on quality and ethics.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 5+ years of proven construction experience.
  • 2+ years as Safety and QAQC cultural champion.
  • 2+ years leading smaller fit-out projects or areas of larger projects.
  • 2+ years experience with change orders and ticket management.
  • 2+ years experience with subcontractor oversight.
  • 2+ years experience with schedule updates and look-ahead schedules.
  • 2+ years experience with reading and delivering on plans and specs.
  • 2+ years experience supporting semiconductor, advanced technology, microchip manufacturing, cleanroom, and/or mission-critical facility construction.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee field operations in assigned areas, ensuring safety, timeliness, profitability, and ethical conduct according to contract documents, design, budget, and schedule.
  • Directly supervise field labor forces and assistant superintendents.
  • Collaborate with project teams to deliver complex manufacturing and cleanroom facilities for high‑tech environments.

The Superintendent is responsible for field operations in assigned areas or aspects of the project. They ensure the work is performed in a safe, timely, profitable, and ethical manner, in accordance with contract documents, design, budget, and schedule. They directly supervises field labor forces and Assistant Superintendents.

Superintendent 1 - Required Qualifications:
  • 5+ Years of proven construction experience
  • 2+ years of being a Safety and QAQC Cultural Champion
