Job summary

Kiewit is seeking a Superintendent to supervise field crews on a major I-80 upgrade project in Fairfield, CA. You will ensure safety, quality, scheduling, and cost control, coordinating with clients, engineers, suppliers, and subcontractors to drive project execution.

The role requires leadership, proactive problem solving, and effective communication to manage multiple crews and meetings, with a focus on delivering the $152M project on schedule.

Qualifications

Position Overview

As a Superintendent you will play a significant part in the success of Kiewit. You will function as a field supervisor and may have responsibility for multiple Foremen, and craft workers. You will be responsible for the organization, work methods, scheduling, cost control, conformity with drawings and specification, workmanship, and assignment of work to accomplish the execution of the work, either directly or through General Foreman or Foremen. You will also work to maintain positive working relationships with clients, architect/engineer, suppliers, subcontractors, and jobsite staff.

We are adding Superintendents to work on a major upgrade to I-80 with the construction of a new Commercial Vehicle Enforcement Facility that will increase inspection capacity while reducing traffic congestion. This is a $152M project with an estimated completion date of 2/2029.

Base Compensation: $120,000/yr - $145,000/yr
