Job summary

MPI is seeking a Construction Superintendent to act as the on-site leader from mobilization through project completion on high‑stakes healthcare and higher education projects.

You will oversee all field operations, drive schedules, coordinate subs and site teams, and ensure safety, quality, and timely delivery. The role demands hands-on leadership and a track record of delivering complex construction programs.

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of experience as a Superintendent.
  • Experience in healthcare, hospital, medical facility, or higher education construction is preferred.
  • Proven ability to lead projects from start to finish and manage field operations.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage all field operations on construction projects.
  • Drive project schedules to ensure milestones and completion dates are achieved.
  • Coordinate subcontractors, trade partners, vendors, and site personnel.
  • Deliver projects safely, on time, and within quality expectations.
  • Conduct daily site walks and proactively identify project risks.
  • Manage project logistics, sequencing, and workforce planning.
  • Create and maintain short-term and long-term construction schedules.
  • Run subcontractor meetings and coordinate field activities.
  • Enforce safety standards and promote a culture of jobsite safety.
  • Monitor workmanship and ensure compliance with project specifications.
  • Review construction drawings and identify potential conflicts.

Job Description

As the Construction Superintendent, you will serve as the on-site leader responsible for driving construction operations from mobilization through project completion.

The Successful Applicant

What We're Looking For:

  • 5+ years of experience as a Superintendent
  • Any Ground Up Expierence Required
  • Proven experience in healthcare construction, hospital construction, medical facility construction, and/or higher education construction
  • Demonstrated history of leading projects from start to finish
  • Strong job tenure with a stable employment history; no frequent job changes
  • Experience coordinating multiple subcontractors and managing field operations
  • Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications
