Job summary

Joeris General Contractors, LLC in Houston, TX seeks an on-site Construction Project Supervisor to coordinate all trades and Joeris employees for a project. You will oversee safety, scheduling, quality control, and daily job reports while interfacing with subcontractors and the project team.

Ideal candidates have 7+ years of experience supervising large commercial projects (>$25M CMAR), familiarity with healthcare renovations, preconstruction concepts, and a willingness to travel.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Experience supervising numerous commercial projects.
• 7+ years of relevant experience in commercial construction, 10+ years preferred.
• Projects size: +$25M (CMAR).
• Familiarity with preconstruction processes for a Construction Manager at Risk contract.
• Healthcare project experience preferred in the Houston Metro area.
• Experience with remodel/renovation and ground-up projects.
• Healthcare project experience required.
• College experience with drafting, surveying, Total Station, or CAD is a plus.
• OSHA 30 certification preferred.
• Willing to travel.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate on-site of all trades and Joeris employees for construction of the project.
• Manage preconstruction process alongside preconstruction team.
• Daily jobsite activities for a single project.
• Implement jobsite safety programs and reporting.
• Schedule and coordinate subcontractors and material deliveries.
• Maintain safety and project housekeeping standards.
• Report accidents to the Safety Team promptly.
• Inform Senior Superintendent and Project Manager of labor and material needs.
• Maintain daily time records and accurate cost centers for employees.
• Code materials to proper cost centers.
• Create and maintain daily job reports.
• Review shop drawings for contract conformance and field dimensions.
• Maintain jobsite record set drawings.
• Take and maintain jobsite progress photographs.
• Obtain and track city inspections and temporary utilities requests.
• Attend all jobsite meetings and complete punch lists.
• Turn over keys with written receipt from owner.
• Perform weekly reviews of job costs and quality control.
• Mentor and train Assistant Superintendents/Project Managers.

Overview

Reports to: Senior Superintendent or Senior Project Manager
FLSA Status: Full-Time, Salaried Exempt
Normal Working Hours – Field: 7 am to 3:30 pm, or Office: 8 am to 5 pm, Monday through Friday, plus additional hours as required for completing project duties
Position Objective: Responsible for on-site coordination of all trades and Joeris employees for construction of the project.

Responsibilities

• Manage and drive the preconstruction process along side the preconstruction team
• Assist in the development of proposal interview strategy and execution with the marketing and preconstruction teams.
• Daily jobsite activities for a single project
• Jobsite safety programs and reporting
• Scheduling and coordination of Subcontractors and material deliveries
• Ensuring employee safety and project housekeeping
• Reporting accidents of any type to the Safety Team in a timely manner
• Notifying the Senior Superintendent and Project Manager of labor and material needs
• Keeping daily time records and accurate cost centers for each employee
• Coding materials to proper cost centers
• Creating and maintaining daily job reports
• Reviewing shop drawings for contract conformance, field dimensions, etc.
• Maintaining jobsite "record set" drawings
• Taking and maintaining jobsite progress photographs
• Obtaining and tracking all necessary city inspections
• Obtaining and terminating all temporary utilities requests
• Attending all jobsite meetings
• Completing all punch list items
• Turning over keys and obtaining a written receipt from owner
• Performing weekly review of job costs
• Maintaining quality control
• Tool and equipment maintenance management
• Building client relations
• Mentoring and training Assistant Superintendents and Assistant Project Managers on their job duties
• Assisting the project team as required
• Completing training requirements as assigned and ensuring Project Team is actively participating in

assigned training

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Must have experience supervising numerous commercial projects
• 7 years of relevant experience in commercial construction, 10+ years preferred
• Projects size: +$25M (CMAR)
• Familiarity with the preconstruction process of a Construction Manager at Risk contract
• Preferred previous project experience in healthcare system within the Houston Metro area
• Experience with remodel/renovation projects and ground up projects
• Must have experience with healthcare projects
• Some college experience with drafting, surveying, Total Station, or CAD a plus
• Confine Space Awareness, Defensive Driving, First Aid/CPR/AED certifications preferred
• OSHA 30 certification
• Willing to Travel
