Job summary

Joeris General Contractors LLC is seeking an experienced on-site coordinator to lead the integration of trades for complex commercial projects. The role emphasizes safety, scheduling, cost control, and coordination with senior leadership on a Houston-based project.

You will manage preconstruction activities, supervise subcontractors, and drive reporting and quality control across the project lifecycle. 7+ years in commercial construction and healthcare experience are highly valued.

Qualifications

• Must have 7+ years in commercial construction; 10+ years preferred.
• Healthcare project experience preferred in Houston Metro area.
• Familiar with preconstruction process of CMAR contracts.
• Experience with remodel/renovation and ground-up projects.
• OSHA 30 certification; willing to travel.

Overview

Reports to: Senior Superintendent or Senior Project Manager

FLSA Status: Full-Time, Salaried Exempt

Normal Working Hours - Field: 7 am to 3:30 pm, or Office: 8 am to 5 pm, Monday through Friday, plus additional hours as required for completing project duties

Position Objective: Responsible for on-site coordination of all trades and Joeris employees for construction of the project.

Responsibilities

• Manage and drive the preconstruction process along side the preconstruction team
• Assist in the development of proposal interview strategy and execution with the marketing and preconstruction teams.
• Daily jobsite activities for a single project
• Jobsite safety programs and reporting
• Scheduling and coordination of Subcontractors and material deliveries
• Ensuring employee safety and project housekeeping
• Reporting accidents of any type to the Safety Team in a timely manner
• Notifying the Senior Superintendent and Project Manager of labor and material needs
• Keeping daily time records and accurate cost centers for each employee
• Coding materials to proper cost centers
• Creating and maintaining daily job reports
• Reviewing shop drawings for contract conformance, field dimensions, etc.
• Maintaining jobsite "record set" drawings
• Taking and maintaining jobsite progress photographs
• Obtaining and tracking all necessary city inspections
• Obtaining and terminating all temporary utilities requests
• Attending all jobsite meetings
• Completing all punch list items
• Turning over keys and obtaining a written receipt from owner
• Performing weekly review of job costs
• Maintaining quality control
• Tool and equipment maintenance management
• Building client relations
• Mentoring and training Assistant Superintendents and Assistant Project Managers on their job duties
• Assisting the project team as required
• Completing training requirements as assigned and ensuring Project Team is actively participating inassigned training
• Additional duties as required

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Must have experience supervising numerous commercial projects
• 7 years of relevant experience in commercial construction, 10+ years preferred
• Projects size: +$25M (CMAR)
• Familiarity with the preconstruction process of a Construction Manager at Risk contract
• Preferred previous project experience in healthcare system within the Houston Metro area
• Experience with remodel/renovation projects and ground up projects
• Must have experience with healthcare projects
• Some college experience with drafting, surveying, Total Station, or CAD a plus
• Confine Space Awareness, Defensive Driving, First Aid/CPR/AED certifications preferred
• OSHA 30 certification
• Willing to Travel
