Job description

We're partnered with a well-established Chicago real estate Developer that's looking to add a Superintendent to its growing construction team.

What makes this opportunity unique is the company's involvement throughout the entire real estate lifecycle — they develop, build, and lease their own properties. With ownership, development, and construction closely aligned, the field team benefits from more streamlined decision-making and direct access to the people behind each project.

The majority of their portfolio consists of ground-up multifamily and high-rise developments, alongside a diverse mix of commercial interiors, hospitality, restaurant, data center, and other specialty projects. For a Superintendent, this means the opportunity to lead major builds while still gaining exposure to a variety of construction types.

The pipeline is a major selling point. They have several exciting projects underway, multiple future phases already planned, and additional developments on the horizon, providing long-term stability and plenty of opportunity to take on increasingly complex projects.

What You'll Be Doing:
  • Lead day-to-day field operations from mobilization through final turnover
  • Manage subcontractors, field personnel, site logistics, and project schedules
  • Coordinate closely with Project Managers, ownership, architects, and trade partners
  • Drive safety, quality control, inspections, and overall jobsite performance
  • Manage short-term scheduling and ensure milestones remain on track
  • Identify and resolve field issues before they impact schedule or budget
  • Help mentor Assistant Superintendents and other members of the field team
What They're Looking For:
  • Superintendent experience with a General Contractor or Developer
  • Multifamily, high-rise, or other large-scale commercial construction experience preferred
  • Strong scheduling, subcontractor management, and field leadership skills
  • Ability to independently take ownership of projects and drive them through completion
  • Someone looking for a long-term opportunity with a strong pipeline of future work
  • Opportunity to lead major ground-up, high-rise developments
  • Multiple upcoming phases and a strong pipeline of future projects
  • Direct exposure to the Developer/Owner side of the business
  • Long-term career growth as the construction team continues to expand
  • All Chicagoland projects — no travel required
  • Downtown Chicago-based company

If you're a Superintendent looking for major ground-up projects, a strong long-term pipeline, and the opportunity to work directly for the company developing and building its own properties, I'd love to tell you more.
