This is an opportunity for an experienced field leader who thrives in a fast-paced construction environment, excels at coordinating crews and resources, and is committed to delivering safe, high-quality concrete construction. As Superintendent, you will oversee daily field operations, including safety, production, quality, manpower, scheduling, and jobsite logistics. You will work closely with Project Managers, Project Executives, subcontractors, general contractors, and field teams to ensure projects are executed safely, efficiently, and according to project requirements.

Martin Concrete’s Critical Projects Group delivers concrete construction for some of the nation's most demanding projects, including data centers, power generation facilities, water and wastewater treatment plants, manufacturing facilities, and other critical infrastructure.

This position requires working onsite at active construction projects. Travel may be required based on project assignments and contractual requirements. Overtime, weekend, or night work may be necessary to meet project schedules.

What You'll Do:

As Superintendent, you will lead concrete field operations and coordinate crews, subcontractors, equipment, materials, and daily activities to maintain safety, quality, productivity, and schedule performance across assigned projects.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Direct and manage concrete field operations, including safety, production, quality, manpower, scheduling, and jobsite logistics.
  • Promote Martin Concrete’s safety culture and ensure crews and subcontractors follow applicable safety requirements, company policies, and training standards.
  • Oversee concrete scopes, including foundations, slabs, elevated decks, equipment pads, and structural concrete.
  • Coordinate daily work activities, manpower, equipment, and material deliveries to support project schedules.
  • Develop and maintain field schedules, including three-week look-ahead plans, and participate in preconstruction, pre-pour, and operational meetings.
  • Serve as a primary onsite representative for Martin Concrete, maintaining professional working relationships with owners, general contractors, inspectors, subcontractors, and project teams.
  • Supervise, train, and mentor crew members and field personnel, promoting accountability, teamwork, and consistent field standards.
  • Monitor labor, material, and equipment productivity, communicate production and cost concerns, and coordinate adjustments to support project objectives.
  • Develop detailed concrete pour plans that address manpower, equipment, truck logistics, placement rates, sequencing, and contingencies.
  • Maintain accurate field documentation, including daily reports, timekeeping, safety inspections, production records, and quality documentation.
  • Communicate regularly with Project Managers regarding jobsite activities, production, schedule impacts, and challenges.
  • Coordinate with other Superintendents and field leadership to address resource needs, resolve conflicts, and maintain consistent execution.
  • Read and interpret construction drawings, specifications, and BIM models to coordinate concrete scopes and identify potential field conflicts.
  • Identify jobsite issues and implement practical solutions to keep work progressing safely and efficiently.
  • Support client relationships and business development efforts by representing Martin Concrete professionally during site walks, meetings, and inspections.
What We're Looking For:
Minimum Requirements
  • 5+ years of field construction experience, with at least 3 years in a Superintendent or similar supervisory role on complex commercial or mission-critical projects.
  • Proven experience in data center or mission-critical facility construction, including coordination of complex scopes, tight tolerances, and demanding schedules.
  • Strong knowledge of concrete construction methods, sequencing, and site logistics.
  • Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, specifications, and BIM models.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead crews, coordinate subcontractors, and manage multiple field priorities.
  • Strong understanding of jobsite safety, quality control, manpower planning, and production management.
  • Willingness to work overtime, weekends, or nights as project demands require.
  • Ability to work onsite at active projects throughout the Dallas-Fort Worth area and travel as project assignments require.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field.
  • OSHA certification.
  • ACI or TCA certification.
  • Bilingual (English/Spanish).
Who You Are:
  • A confident, hands-on leader who takes ownership and leads by example.
  • A clear communicator who works effectively with crews, clients, subcontractors, and project teams.
  • A proactive problem-solver who remains calm and focused under pressure.
