Job Summary : As a Superintendent at Amstar, Inc., you will play a key role in overseeing and managing commercial construction projects from inception to completion. You will be responsible for ensuring that projects are executed safely, efficiently, and in accordance with plans and specifications. You will collaborate with project managers, subcontractors, and other team members to ensure that projects are delivered on schedule and meet quality standards.

Key Responsibilities:

Project Oversight: Manage and oversee all aspects of construction projects, including planning, scheduling, and execution.

Safety: Enforce and promote a culture of safety on the construction site, ensuring compliance with all safety regulations and protocols.

Quality Assurance: Monitor and maintain high-quality standards throughout the construction process, conducting regular inspections and quality control checks.

Scheduling: Maintain project schedules, coordinate subcontractor activities, and ensure timely project milestones.

Communication: Maintain clear and effective communication with project managers, subcontractors, clients, and other stakeholders to provide project updates and address any issues or concerns.

Problem Solving: Identify and address construction-related challenges and issues promptly, seeking innovative solutions when necessary.

Team Leadership: Lead and manage construction crews, subcontractors, and other personnel on-site, ensuring that work is performed efficiently and to high standards.

Documentation: Maintain accurate project documentation, including daily reports, progress reports, change orders, and as-built drawings.

Regulatory Compliance: Ensure compliance with all local, state, and federal regulations and permits related to construction activities.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in construction management, civil engineering, industrial engineering and/or related field (a plus) or equivalent work experience.

Proven experience as a Superintendent in the commercial construction industry.

Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and techniques.

Excellent leadership and interpersonal skills.

Exceptional problem-solving and decision-making abilities.

Proficiency in construction management software and tools.

OSHA certification and knowledge of safety regulations (a plus).

Strong organizational and time management skills.

Ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.

Job Order Contracting experience (a plus).
