Job summary

NW Recruiting Partners is seeking an experienced Superintendent to oversee commercial and multifamily projects in the Greater Seattle area. The role focuses on on-site leadership, safety, and delivering high-quality work on schedule.

You will coordinate field teams, subcontractors, vendors, and project management, driving progress from start through closeout while maintaining strong communication with owners and design professionals. A proactive leader will mentor staff and uphold safety culture.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of Superintendent experience on commercial and/or multifamily projects.
• Ability to read construction drawings, specifications, and project documents.
• Proven leadership skills managing subcontractors and field personnel.
• Knowledge of scheduling, quality control, cost awareness, and jobsite safety best practices.
• Proficiency with construction management software such as Procore.

Responsibilities

• Lead all on-site construction activities from project start through closeout.
• Coordinate and supervise subcontractors, vendors, and field personnel to maintain productivity and quality.
• Develop and maintain the project schedule, ensuring milestones and deadlines are achieved.
• Enforce OSHA safety standards and promote a strong safety culture on the jobsite.
• Conduct daily site walks to monitor progress and identify potential issues.
• Coordinate inspections with local jurisdictions and ensure compliance with building codes and project specs.
• Maintain project documentation, including daily reports, safety logs, and field documentation.
• Collaborate with the Project Manager to manage schedules, budgets, change orders, and project communications.
• Lead jobsite meetings and maintain effective communication with owners, architects, consultants, and project stakeholders.
• Mentor field staff and foster a positive, team-oriented work environment.

• Experience with podium multifamily, self-storage, retail, or similar commercial projects preferred.
• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, specifications, and project documents.
• Proven leadership skills with the ability to manage subcontractors and field personnel effectively.
• Knowledge of scheduling, quality control, cost awareness, and jobsite safety best practices.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office; experience with Procore or other construction management software is a plus.
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
