Job summary

GCT RE Construction, LLC is seeking a Commercial Construction Superintendent to lead ground-up QSR builds across Texas from mobilization to turnover. You will serve as the owner's eyes and the builder's hands on site, coordinating trades, scheduling, and site logistics with project teams to drive milestones.

This full-time role requires 5+ years of commercial superintendent experience, OSHA 30, and a valid driver's license, with travel across Texas as needed.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years as a commercial superintendent on ground-up projects.
• At least 3 completed fast-track QSR, retail pad, or similar ground-up builds.
• Full-scope build experience from ground-breaking through CO.
• Knowledge of commercial kitchen MEP, grease interceptors, hoods, and fire suppression.
• Ability to read and interpret civil, structural, architectural, and MEP plans.
• Experience coordinating with Texas municipalities, inspectors, and Fire Marshals.
• Valid driver's license with clean driving record.
• Active OSHA 30 certification.

Responsibilities

• Run day-to-day field operations and sequence trades from earthwork to turnover.
• Conduct site walks prior to mobilization to verify utilities, access, and civil conditions.
• Review drawings and brand prototype documents to catch gaps and submit RFIs.
• Sequence trade schedules to manage long-lead items like RTUs, walk-in coolers, and switchgear.
• Enforce site quality control to match plans, codes, and brand standards.
• Drive the project punch list to zero for smooth turnover and CO.

The Opportunity

You will serve as the owner's eyes and the builder's hands on site, running ground-up QSR restaurant builds from mobilization through franchisee turnover. This role empowers you to take full ownership of high-profile single-tenant projects across Texas with fast-track execution. You will collaborate directly with project managers and design teams to drive site milestones forward without corporate red tape.

How You Will Make An Impact

• Run day-to-day field operations, sequencing all trades from earthwork to final inspection and turnover.
• Conduct thorough site walks prior to mobilization to verify utilities, access, and civil conditions.
• Review drawings and QSR brand prototype documents to catch gaps and submit early RFIs.

• Enforce site quality control to match plans, local building codes, and brand standards.
• Drive the project punch list to zero to ensure seamless turnover and Certificate of Occupancy.

Required Qualifications & Experience

• Minimum 5 years of experience as a commercial superintendent on ground-up projects.
• At least 3 completed fast-track QSR, retail pad, or similar ground-up commercial builds.
• Full-scope build experience from ground-breaking through sitework, underground utilities, and CO.
• Practical knowledge of commercial kitchen MEP, grease interceptors, hoods, and fire suppression.
• Demonstrated ability to read and interpret civil, structural, architectural, and MEP plans.
• Proven track record coordinating with Texas municipalities, inspectors, and Fire Marshals.
• Valid driver's license, clean driving record, and willingness to travel as needed.
• Active OSHA 30 certification.

Preferred Qualifications & Experience

• Experience with national QSR brands such as Chick-fil-A, Raising Cane's, or Starbucks.
• Demonstrated experience working with franchisee clients and brand-standard inspectors.
• Bilingual fluency in English and Spanish.
• Prior hands-on experience as a trade foreman or carpenter.

• Competitive base salary ranging from $100,000 to $120,000 per year based on experience.
