Job summary

ARCO a Family of Construction Companies is seeking a highly motivated Superintendent Intern to join our field team for a summer internship in Missouri. You will assist Superintendents on diverse projects, gaining hands-on experience in scheduling, subcontractor coordination, and keeping projects running smoothly from start to finish.

The role offers exposure to commercial, industrial, distribution, and multi-family projects, with housing near the jobsite, per diem, and potential for full-time

Qualifications

• Enrolled in Construction Management, Civil Engineering or other related degree programs
• Minimum GPA of 3.0 out of 4.0
• Co-op or Intern construction experience preferred, but not required
• Excellent verbal communication skills and a strong work ethic
• Possess and maintain a current, valid driver's license in your state of residence
• Ability to meet the physical demands of the job including standing, walking, bending, kneeling, crouching, climbing stairs, and lifting up to 50 pounds

Responsibilities

• Work on jobsites and gain hands-on experience from our field personnel on projects in multiple industries
• Learn scheduling, subcontractor coordination, and how to run a project smoothly from start to finish

A DAY IN THE LIFE

At ARCO, an Intern works during the summer and has the opportunity to assist Superintendents with the following:

• Work on Jobsites and get hands on experience from our expert field personnel on projects in a variety of industries including, commercial, industrial, distribution, office, multi-family, entertainment and more
• Learn various skills from the Superintendent on the job including creating schedules, talking to subcontractors, running a project smoothly from start to finish and working with the Superintendent on the jobsite
• You will make a meaningful contribution to ARCO's success, performing critical tasks in every stage of the project life cycle

Necessary Qualifications

• Enrolled in Construction Management, Civil Engineering or other related degree programs
• Minimum Grade Point Average of 3.0 out of 4.0
• Co-op or Intern construction experience preferred, but not required
• Excellent verbal communication skills and a strong work ethic
• Possess and maintain a current, valid driver's license in your state of residence
• Ability to meet the physical demands of the job, including but not limited to: standing or walking for long periods of time, occasionally on uneven terrain, bending, kneeling, crouching, climbing stairs, and/or lifting heavy loads of up to 50 pounds

This represents typical base compensation for the role. Candidates with extensive experience may exceed this range. In addition to base salary, the role is eligible to receive discretionary bonus compensation based on individual and company performance.

$25 - $25 USD
