Your Role

This is morethan a project role. It is an opportunity to help build and shape a growing regional program with the backing of an established and strong company. Ournear-term goal is to develop this into an annual operation with continuedgrowth from there, and we are seeking leaders who want to play a key role in that journey.

Successfulcandidates will begin by immersing themselves in our culture, systems, and people through hands-on experience with our St. Louis office team. Afterapproximately 6-12 months, you will transition into a field leadership rolesupporting and delivering water/wastewater and potentially other civil projectsin Central Illinois and Southern Iowa - helping grow our presence in theregion.

What You’ll Do

Lead on-siteexecution of water and wastewater and other civil construction projects,managing field operations, subcontractor coordination, safety, quality,sequencing, and schedule execution from mobilization through closeout.

• Lead day-to-day field operations for assigned projects.
• Coordinate subcontractors, self-perform crews, inspections, logistics, and daily work sequencing.
• Drive look-ahead planning, manpower coordination, and schedule execution.
• Lead planning and execution for shutdowns, tie-ins, bypass systems, commissioning, and critical path activities.
• Reinforce safety expectations and maintain accountability across all trades and work activities.
• Coordinate with Project Managers, engineers, owners, inspectors, and regulatory stakeholders.
• Identify and resolve field constraints, constructability issues, and production impacts proactively.
• Maintain field documentation including daily reports, inspections, RFIs, and change tracking.
• Support quality planning, inspections, punch list execution, and project turnover activities.
• Develop Assistant Superintendents, Foremen, and field personnel through coaching and leadership.
• Identify and build strong client relationships and support repeat business opportunities.

Experience

• 5-10+ years of field supervision experience with increasing responsibility.
• Experience leading civil, water, wastewater, utilities, or infrastructure-related construction projects.
• Demonstrated success providing overall project site ownership and leading self-perform operations, subcontractor coordination, safety, and schedule execution.

Education & Certifications

• High School Diploma or GED required; Construction Management, Engineering, or equivalent field experience preferred.
• OSHA 30 strongly preferred/required.
• Valid driver’s license required.

Tools & Software

• Proficiency in Procore.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office products.
• Navigational ability with Primavera P6 and/or MS Project; experience with Bluebeam.

Specialized Project Experience

Water/wastewater treatment facilities, utilities, infrastructure, shutdowns, bypass pumping, tie-ins, and commissioning activities.

• Primarily on an active project site; frequent walking of work areas and coordination with crews and trades.
• Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), exposure to weather and loud environments, and lifting/moving of 25-50 lbs.
• Work hours may vary by project and may include early mornings, evenings, nights, and weekends.
• Travel is required. Projects will primarily be within the southeast Iowa and central Illinois region, with flexibility and readiness to support work outside the market as needed. Travel to and from St. Louis for initial onboarding and then as needed.
