Job summary

The Illinois Association of School Administrators in Benton, IL seeks a District Superintendent to provide leadership and oversight for all educational and operational programs. You will establish a clear district vision and lead strategic initiatives, while ensuring student achievement and responsible resource management.

You will recruit and develop high-quality personnel, support principals, and maintain compliant operations.

Qualifications

  • A valid Illinois Professional Educator License with the Superintendent endorsement, or eligibility for the appropriate Illinois superintendent licensure.
  • Successful experience as a District Superintendent; a minimum of two years at district level is required.
  • Demonstrated success in improving teaching, learning, and student outcomes.
  • Strong knowledge of Illinois school finance, school law, collective bargaining, and school district operations.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage complex budgets and allocate resources strategically.
  • Excellent written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills.
  • A record of building positive relationships with staff, families, students, and community members.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead organizational change while maintaining trust and collaboration.
  • Strong ethical standards and professional integrity.

Job description

QUALIFICATIONS:


The ideal candidate will possess:

Salary/Benefits

A regionally competitive salary and benefit package will be negotiated with the final candidate based on experience and education level. The anticipated package range will be $140k - $160K.
