Advanced Window, Inc. is seeking an experienced Commercial Glazing Superintendent to join our field operations team and oversee commercial glazing projects throughout the Washington, DC, Maryland, and Northern Virginia area.
We're looking for an experienced field leader with a strong background in commercial glass and glazing, particularly storefront and curtain wall systems. The ideal candidate knows the work, knows how to lead crews, and can keep projects moving safely, efficiently, and to a high standard of quality.
What You'll Do
- Oversee field installation activities for commercial storefront, curtain wall, window, entrance, and related glazing systems.
- Lead, coordinate, and support Foremen, Lead Glaziers, and field crews.
- Coordinate manpower, materials, equipment, and daily field operations to support project schedules.
- Review project drawings, specifications, shop drawings, and installation requirements.
- Monitor project progress, productivity, installation quality, and safety.
- Perform and oversee field layout and verification of dimensions.
- Identify field issues and coordinate solutions with Project Management.
- Communicate regularly with Project Managers regarding project progress, manpower needs, schedules, and field conditions.
- Coordinate field activities with General Contractors, subcontractors, and other trades.
- Maintain safe job sites and ensure compliance with company safety policies and OSHA requirements.
- Support the training and development of field personnel.
- Complete and oversee required field documentation and reporting.
What We're Looking For
- Strong commercial glass and glazing experience required.
- Hands‑on experience with storefront and curtain wall systems required.
- Previous experience as a Glazing Superintendent, Foreman, Lead Glazier, or similar field leadership position.
- Strong knowledge of commercial glazing installation practices and field operations.
- Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, specifications, and shop drawings.
- Proven ability to lead field crews and coordinate multiple projects and priorities.
- Strong leadership, communication, organization, and problem‑solving skills.
- Knowledge of OSHA regulations and construction safety requirements.
- Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record.
- OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 certification preferred.
- Aerial lift, forklift, and other equipment certifications are a plus.
- Experience with pre‑glazed window systems, ACM panels, and related building envelope products is a plus.
- Bilingual English/Spanish communication skills is a plus.
- Valid driver's license and acceptable driving record required; position includes a company‑provided vehicle and requires regular travel to project sites.
- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States.
