Job summary

• Undergraduate or graduate degree in engineering, architecture, construction management, or related field.
• Seven+ years of experience on large-scale commercial construction projects.
• Experience delivering high-rise, mixed-use, or higher education projects.
• At least two years leading project teams.
• Knowledge of scheduling, contract administration, equipment, and personnel management.

Responsibilities

• Manage timely and quality completion of contracted work across a project or scope.
• Promote safety and quality culture among employees and trade contractors.
• Conduct regular jobsite safety inspections and verify compliance with regulations.
• Develop and maintain plans for sequencing work, logistics, and tracking materials/equipment.
• Ensure completed work meets project requirements and quality standards.
• Take ownership of project performance and address issues to meet schedule and budget.
• Develop and communicate the project schedule to stakeholders.
• Monitor key milestones and align the team with delivery objectives.
• Lead, mentor, and develop team members to be highly effective.
• Build productive relationships with owners, design teams, subcontractors, vendors, and stakeholders.
• Support the preparation and maintenance of staff charts and project cost information.
• Monitor KPIs relevant to project performance.

Job description

As a Superintendent, you will use your ability to innovate, solve problems, and lead effectively to manage field operations and ensure the successful delivery of high-quality projects for our clients. You will be responsible for overseeing both self-performed and subcontracted work, ensuring activities are completed in accordance with the contract documents and project schedule. You will also help establish and maintain a strong culture of safety, quality, and accountability across the project.

Responsibilities

• Manage the timely and quality completion of contracted work across an entire project or assigned scope, trade, contractor, or project area.
• Promote and maintain a strong culture of safety and quality among employees and trade contractors.
• Conduct regular jobsite safety inspections to verify compliance with company policies, contract requirements, and applicable government regulations.
• Develop and maintain plans for sequencing work, coordinating jobsite logistics, and tracking materials, equipment, and manpower.
• Ensure completed work consistently meets project requirements and quality standards.
• Take ownership of project performance and proactively address issues to support delivery on schedule and within budget.
• Develop, update, and communicate the project schedule to all relevant stakeholders.
• Maintain a detailed understanding of key schedule milestones and ensure the project team remains aligned with delivery objectives.
• Lead, mentor, and develop team members to create a highly effective and collaborative project team.
• Build and maintain productive relationships with owners, design teams, subcontractors, vendors, and other project stakeholders.
• Support the preparation and maintenance of staff charts, general conditions, and project cost information.
• Understand and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) relevant to project performance.
• Use advanced problem-solving skills to identify solutions to ongoing obstacles, issues, and conflicts on the jobsite.
• Anticipate potential challenges and take appropriate action to maintain progress and project performance.

Basic Qualifications

• Undergraduate or graduate degree in engineering, architecture, construction management, a related field, or equivalent relevant work experience.
• Seven or more years of experience working on large-scale commercial construction projects.
• Demonstrated experience successfully delivering high-rise residential, mixed-use, or higher education projects from beginning to completion.
• At least two years of experience leading, developing, and motivating project teams.
• Detailed knowledge of construction operations, including scheduling, contract administration, equipment, and personnel management.
• Proven ability to lead field operations and communicate plans clearly to different audiences.
• Working knowledge of applicable safety and building regulations, including OSHA requirements.

Preferred Qualifications
