Actalent is seeking a Commercial Construction Superintendent to lead onsite field operations for ground-up and tenant improvement projects in Spokane, WA. • 5+ years of experience as a Commercial Construction Superintendent on ground-up projects.
• Experience managing commercial construction projects from site development through completion.
• Strong understanding of structural systems, MEP coordination, sequencing, finishes.
• Ability to read blueprints, specs, schedules, drawings.
• OSHA 30 or willingness to obtain before start.
• Experience with Procore, Microsoft Project or similar PM software.
• Strong communication, leadership, organizational and problem-solving skills.

Our client in the Spokane, WA location is currently hiring for a Commercial Construction Superintendent. This position will oversee field operations on commercial construction projects, including both ground-up and tenant improvement work. The ideal candidate will bring strong leadership experience, a commitment to safety and quality, and the ability to manage multiple stakeholders in a fast-paced construction environment.

Standard Monday-Friday (Full-Time)

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage all onsite construction activities for commercial construction projects.
• Coordinate subcontractors, vendors, and field personnel to ensure project objectives are achieved.
• Monitor project schedules and proactively address delays, conflicts, and scope changes.
• Ensure compliance with all safety regulations, company policies, and jobsite requirements.
• Partner with project managers and stakeholders to provide project updates and maintain project documentation.
• Conduct site meetings, safety inspections, and quality control reviews.
• Manage punch-list completion and project closeout activities.
• Maintain an organized, professional, and efficient jobsite environment.
• Ensure all work is completed according to plans, specifications, and applicable building codes.
• Drive project progress while maintaining strong relationships with clients, subcontractors, and project teams.

Qualification Requirements

• 5+ years of experience as a Commercial Construction Superintendent on ground-up commercial construction projects.
• Experience managing commercial construction projects from site development through project completion.
• Strong understanding of structural systems, MEP coordination, construction sequencing, and building finishes.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, specifications, schedules, and technical drawings.
• OSHA 30 certification or willingness to obtain prior to start.
• Experience with construction management software such as Procore, Microsoft Project, or similar platforms.
• Strong communication, leadership, organizational, and problem-solving skills.

Experience With Tenant Improvement Projects Is Preferred

Knowledge of Washington and Idaho building codes and inspection processes is a plus.

Disqualifiers

• Less than 5 years of Commercial Construction Superintendent experience.
• No experience on ground-up commercial construction projects.
• Limited experience coordinating subcontractors and managing onsite construction activities.
• No experience reading and interpreting construction drawings and specifications.
• No experience using construction management software such as Procore or similar platforms.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Spokane, WA.

Pay And Benefits

The pay range for this position is $43.30 - $57.70/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
