Job summary

Actalent is seeking a Sr. Superintendent to lead field operations on commercial and industrial construction projects in the Atlanta area. You will schedule, coordinate, inspect, and direct subcontractors to ensure safety, on-time delivery, and quality.

You will work with Project Managers across all phases, mentor junior supers, and manage safety programs, budgets, and stakeholder communications. This onsite role requires travel between sites in Atlanta and Jacksonville.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Business, or related field preferred.
• OSHA 30 Certification required.
• First Aid, CPR, and Safety Training required.
• Georgia Soil & Water Conservation Commission Level 1A Certification required.
• Experience leading large industrial, warehouse, distribution, manufacturing, or commercial projects.
• Minimum 12+ years of construction experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead all field construction activities and coordinate subcontractors.
• Develop, maintain, and enforce project schedules.
• Conduct project startup, planning, logistics, and sequencing activities.
• Manage quality control and ensure work complies with contract documents.
• Participate in subcontractor buyout and scope review meetings.
• Facilitate weekly subcontractor meetings and progress updates.
• Coordinate material deliveries and procurement tracking.
• Maintain as-built drawings and project documentation.
• Work closely with owners, architects, engineers, and subcontractors.
• Manage project safety programs and ensure subcontractor compliance.
• Mentor Assistant Superintendents and field personnel.
• Lead project closeout activities and transition projects to clients.

Sr. Superintendent

Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Sr. Superintendent to lead all field operations on commercial and industrial construction projects. The role involves scheduling, coordinating, inspecting, and directing subcontractors to ensure projects are completed safely, on time, within budget, and to high standards. The Sr. Superintendent will work closely with Project Managers during all project phases, maintaining responsibility for field leadership and job site performance.

Work Environment

This role primarily operates on active construction sites and project offices. Candidates should be comfortable working in outdoor environments and navigating large-scale construction projects. Most projects are located in the Atlanta and Jacksonville areas; so travel between these markets may be required. Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Atlanta, GA.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $65.00 - $79.00/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
