Job summary

MasterBrand Cabinets LLC is seeking a Superintendent to oversee daily production operations, driving safety, quality, and productivity across departments. You will lead supervisors, coach teams, and support continuous improvement initiatives while ensuring cost objectives are met.

This role collaborates with Quality, Maintenance, Engineering, HR, and Supply Chain to resolve challenges and maintain an efficient operation in a dynamic manufacturing environment.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 5 years of manufacturing leadership experience.
  • Proven ability to supervise multiple departments or shifts.
  • Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes, production planning, and continuous improvement.
  • Experience leading large teams in a fast-paced production environment.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office and manufacturing systems/ERP software.

Job Description:

The Superintendent is responsible for overseeing daily production operations within assigned departments to ensure safety, quality, productivity, and cost objectives are achieved. This role provides leadership and direction to supervisors and employees, supports continuous improvement initiatives, and ensures compliance with company policies and procedures. The Superintendent works closely with cross-functional teams to drive operational excellence and maintain a positive work environment.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Lead and manage daily manufacturing operations within assigned areas.
  • Supervise, coach, and develop production supervisors and team members.
  • Ensure all safety policies, procedures, and regulations are followed and promote a culture of safety.
  • Monitor production schedules and staffing levels to meet customer demands and operational goals.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives focused on quality, productivity, efficiency, and waste reduction.
  • Analyze production metrics and implement corrective actions as needed.
  • Maintain compliance with company policies, procedures, and applicable regulations.
  • Collaborate with Quality, Maintenance, Engineering, HR, and Supply Chain departments to resolve operational challenges.
  • Conduct regular department meetings to communicate goals, expectations, and company updates.
  • Manage labor utilization, overtime, attendance, and employee performance.
  • Participate in employee relations matters, including coaching, performance management, and disciplinary actions.
  • Support training and development programs to enhance employee skills and performance.
  • Assist with budgeting, resource planning, and cost control initiatives.
  • Ensure equipment and facilities are maintained to support safe and efficient operations.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications

Work Environment
  • Manufacturing production facility.
  • Regular interaction with employees, supervisors, managers, and support departments.
  • May require flexibility in schedule to support multiple shifts and business needs.
