Job summary

Centurion Selection is seeking an experienced Multifamily Superintendent to oversee field operations on ground-up multifamily projects in San Diego. You will manage the project schedule, coordinate subcontractors, ensure safety and quality, and deliver projects on time and within budget.

This role requires strong leadership, ability to read drawings, and hands-on coordination with PMs, vendors, and field staff.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience as a Superintendent on ground-up multifamily construction projects.
• Experience managing projects such as podium, wrap, garden-style, mixed-use, or high-rise multifamily developments.
• Strong knowledge of construction methods, sequencing, scheduling, and building codes.
• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office, Procore, Bluebeam, and scheduling software (Microsoft Project or Primavera P6 preferred).
• OSHA 30 certification preferred.
• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field is preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Manage all on-site construction activities from groundbreaking through project completion.
• Develop and maintain the master construction schedule, ensuring milestones are achieved.
• Coordinate and supervise subcontractors, vendors, and field personnel.
• Conduct daily site inspections to ensure quality, safety, and compliance with project specifications.
• Enforce OSHA standards and company safety policies, promoting a culture of safety.
• Review construction drawings, specifications, RFIs, submittals, and change orders.
• Coordinate inspections with local municipalities and third-party inspectors.
• Monitor project progress and proactively identify and resolve field issues.
• Work closely with the Project Manager to manage budgets, schedules, procurement, and project logistics.
• Lead subcontractor meetings and communicate project expectations and deadlines.
• Ensure punch list completion, commissioning support, and successful project turnover.
• Maintain daily reports, jobsite documentation, and progress updates.
