Job summary

KODIAK Construction Recruiting & Staffing seeks a Superintendent (Mechanical / Sheet Metal / Plumbing / HVAC) for Richmond, VA to oversee change-outs, retrofits, and installations, supervising mechanics, apprentices, and helpers to meet contract and budget objectives.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years of supervisory experience, strong knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, and International Codes, OSHA 30, and proficiency with Procore, BIM, and Microsoft Teams. Bilingual English/Spanish is a plus.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of industry experience, including supervisory experience.
• In-depth knowledge of International Codes, HVAC, and plumbing systems.
• OSHA 30-hour certification, knowledge of OSHA safety regulations.
• Bilingual in English and Spanish (preferred but not required).
• Experience handling personnel issues.
• Mechanical, administrative, and analytical skills.
• Proficient with technology (computer, tablet, smartphone, Microsoft Teams, Procore, BIM).

Responsibilities

• Inspect work in progress and completed work for compliance with specifications.
• Supervise and coordinate assigned trade/craft workers.
• Interpret specifications, blueprints, and job orders for installations.
• Review and release shop drawings for timely installation.
• Teach and coach teammates to ensure safety and productivity.
• Monitor manpower and tools, oversee inventory activities.
• Identify cost-saving opportunities and manage project budgets.

Position Summary
